The Republican Senator screams at the President, the President screams at the Senator (and calls him names in public) and hours later the same Senator votes to pass a bill that he had voted against regarding war powers. What was said behind closed doors. What leverage does any one of these people involved have over each other? It is actually blackmail and decisions are never made to improve the lives of the citizens of the United States, it is always to protect themselves! These evil, money hungry, backstabbing, blackmailing, corrupt, despots actually make me sick to my stomach. 🤮😫🤬🤯
From what I read today, Cassidy complained that trump had pulled Cassidy's Security Clearance and Cassidy told trump that he would continue to vote with Democrats until trump gave him back his Clearance, which trump did.
Rand Paul says he pulled his 'Yes' vote and decided to leave his vote as 'present' to give trump leverage to negotiate peace after a ceasefire extension was agreed upon.
That is how weaklings operate.
What I don't understand is why Fetterman voted with the GOP!
it appears that Trump is not going to veto the housing statute, just not sign it. So it will come into force regardless, ten days (not counting Sundays) after it was passed by both houses of Congress.
The bill is an excellent idea. Thousands of people -if not more - have lost housing or got housing under intolerable conditions because 'private equity' would buy up huge tracts of houses and squeeze the tenants for rent and impose other conditions on them - maximizing their profit and minimized the livability of the homes. It should be a scandal. Kudos to Elizabeth Warren for leading the fight against this practice.

When Mike Johnson had his private conversation with Trump after he was blindsided by Trump’s explosion of the signing ceremony for the bipartisan housing bill, it is reported that Trump told Johnson, “nobody gives a (bleep) about housing….” Yet, Trump is now supporting the passage of that very same bill.
And, as you have reported, Heather, there are flip-flops of one kind or another - not only Bill Cassidy, Rand Paul in this situation being ping-ponged in their positions, but there are so many examples of Donald Trump’s tornado approach to governance: NATO, Ukraine, “LGBTQ+ people….” he loves ‘em, then he disparages them - the same with women, minorities, people who suffer and die in military service, Democrats (he was a registered Democratic for years) Abortion (he is on record to both support and oppose a women’s right to choose) Iran - they are a terrible regime with the stupidest of leaders to now praising them as a very smart bunch…
In summary, he is the living example of a duplicitous man who leaves a wake of destruction in all of his endeavors and in all of his relationships (such as they are)
On the quietest of nights, one can rightly assume the fox has entered the chicken coop by hearing the sounds of the chickens.

Fetterman has turned into a Republican. He has voted with them on numerous bills.
