Last carrier based navy to cite the myth of their service members “superior warrior ethos” as justification for not rotating their soldiers, seamen and aviators home for regularly scheduled rest was the IJN during WWII - and it cost them dearly.
Kido Butai got crushed at Midway after operating nonstop well before even Pearl Harbor, but rather than tell citizens at home what had happened, the Japanese military diverted wounded survivors after the battle to heavily guarded out of the way naval installations away from Tokyo, Kure, Sasebo, and kept their own wounded seamen interned till the end of the war so that they couldnt tell their families what happened.
By 1943, because they flew all their experienced airmen nonstop, without rotating them home for leave until they died, there was such an acute shortage of capable aviators that the IJN drastically lowered the standards for entering flight training AND they drastically reduced the amount of training given, to a much lower quality of brainwashed flight cadets.
And of course by 1944, rather than injecting these young clueless kids with testosterone, they were sousing them with sake, before ordering them to go die for the Emperor.
Dipshit Pete is an ignorant landlubbering motherfucker who doesnt appear to me to read, so these basic lessons on carrier warfare and naval aviation from WWII are completely lost on him, and leave no prayer that he could have possibly learned one fucking thing from the history of the Middle East.
What is tragic is that the price of that kind of ignorant dipshittery of schmucks in his position or the position of Japanese WWII military leadership is always paid for in the price of wasted young human lives.
