What is the truth in the attempted Trump assassination?
At 8:36 p.m. Saturday night, chaos erupted at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Vice President Vance was grabbed by the shoulders and rushed off stage. Melania Trump began lowering herself to the floor. People dove under tables across the ballroom. Every person in that room read the danger instantly. Every person except the President of the United States, who sat there with an unconcerned blank look on his face while the room collapsed into chaos around him. When agents finally reached him, he stumbled and collapsed to the floor, forcing them to lift him back to his feet and carry him away.
Two hours later, still in his tuxedo, he stood before cameras in the White House briefing room. Not to address gun violence or ask how this keeps happening. The first place his mind went was his ballroom. “This is why we have to have all the attributes of what we’re planning at the White House,” he said. He talked about drone-proofing, bulletproof glass, and the 150 years of presidents who supposedly demanded this project. Just ten days earlier, a federal judge had ruled that the ballroom did not rise to the level of a national security threat. Within hours of the shooting, Trump was at a podium demanding the lawsuit be dropped. He used the crisis to override a court ruling he had already lost. And then he compared himself to Abraham Lincoln, saying the people who “make the biggest impact” are the ones who get targeted. Asked if he felt honored by that, he said, “I hate to say I’m honored by that, but I’ve done a lot.”
And maybe the most important thing about Saturday night is what it revealed about where we are as a country. Not the shooting itself, but the fact that we woke up the next day unable to fully trust the official account. Not because we are conspiracy theorists, but because this administration has spent every day of the last year proving it does not deal in truth. They lie about the economy. They lie about the war. They lie about things we can see with our own eyes. And when a government lies about everything, the public loses the ability to know what the ground is. That is the real damage of this moment. But some Democrats in Congress already have a framework ready for the moment they take back control, not just impeachment proceedings, but full accountability hearings for every enabler. The midterms are coming.

We are living through a pivotal moment for our country, and my goal is to reach as many people as possible with clear, factual information about what is happening. The more people who understand what is unfolding, the better our chances of pushing back against chaos, cruelty, and corruption ahead of the midterms.

I don’t believe it for one second especially since these so called assassins always miss.
What superb reporting Heather always documenting for the history books and bringing the humanity and the facts and not the chatter. let’s say, thankfully he didn’t have an assault rifle for an A.R. 15 maybe being from California, which is where they have restrictions might’ve saved a lot of people’s lives that we don’t know about it.
