Trump's roundtable of tech leader sycophants
Inside the Indian Treaty Room of the White House, the President of the United States held a ceremonial roundtable to announce that tech companies would pay for their own electricity. That was it. That was the entire premise. Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Oracle, and xAI pledged to cover the energy costs of their own AI data centers, something that was always supposed to be how it worked. But the real purpose was nearly an hour of tech executives telling the president how brilliant and strong he is while six American service members lie dead from a war he started and never got Congress to authorize.
At the Pentagon, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth dismissed the deaths of those service members as “tragic things” that happen, and accused the press of only covering them to make the president look bad. At the White House podium, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt refused to say directly whether this administration believes the press should prominently cover the deaths of U.S. service members.
But the walls are cracking. A bipartisan majority on the House Oversight Committee voted to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Epstein files. And no distraction, no matter how big or destructive, is stopping the momentum already underway. These are not the moves of people who are winning. These are the desperate acts of people managing a slow collapse and hoping we don’t notice.

.I’ll now be sharing video versions of my nightly posts in addition to the written ones. We are living through a pivotal moment for our country, and my goal is to reach as many people as possible with clear, factual information about what is happening. The more people who understand what is unfolding, the better chance we have to push back against chaos, cruelty, and corruption ahead of the midterms.
Thank you for your continued support. Your paid subscriptions have enabled me to add a video editor and get the message out to more people.
Independent journalism is under attack. You can make a difference with a $5/month paid subscription. Your support allows me to keep telling the truth about the lies and destruction unfolding in our country, defend myself from constant pressure from MAGA extremists, and ultimately spread the message to more people.
I’m fighting to save our country (before it’s too late).
I’ll see you tomorrow,
