Trump's reckless and unsettling behavior is becoming a serious problem
At a conference backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund in Miami Beach, the President of the United States stood before a room full of billionaires and foreign dignitaries and gave one of the most unhinged speeches of his presidency. He described the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities with giddiness, then made gun sounds and hand gestures to act out missile interceptions while ten American service members were wounded that same day. He told the room that Iran’s supreme leader “is dead” and his son is “either dead or in very bad shape,” then turned to the Saudi investors and asked, “Who would like to lead Iran? Please raise your hand.” The room laughed.
He admitted again, on camera, why he calls this a “military operation” instead of a war. “This is for legal reasons,” he said. “Because as a military operation, I don’t need any approvals. As a war, you’re supposed to get approval from Congress, something like that.” He floated the idea of renaming the Strait of Hormuz after himself. He announced Cuba is next, then told the press to “pretend I didn’t say that.” And he signaled his intention to abandon NATO entirely, saying of our allies, “based on their actions, I guess we don’t have to be there for them, do we?”
When asked about his legacy, the man currently bombing Iran without congressional authorization, who has invaded Venezuela, threatened Cuba, and is posturing to abandon 75 years of Western alliance, said, “I’d love my legacy to be made as a great peacemaker.” Meanwhile, the stock market closed at its lowest point in seven months. The S&P 500 suffered its fifth consecutive weekly decline. Oil surged over 4 percent.

I’m sharing video versions of my nightly posts in addition to the written ones. We are living through a pivotal moment for our country, and my goal is to reach as many people as possible with clear, factual information about what is happening. The more people who understand what is unfolding, the better our chances of pushing back against chaos, cruelty, and corruption ahead of the midterms.
Thank you for your continued support. Your paid subscriptions have enabled me to add a video editor and reach more people.
Independent journalism is under attack. You can make a difference with a $5/month paid subscription. Your support allows me to keep telling the truth about the lies and destruction unfolding in our country, defend myself from constant pressure from MAGA extremists, and ultimately spread the message to more people.
I’m fighting to save our country (before it’s too late).
I’ll see you tomorrow,
Heather

Heather, you’ve done it again! Watching and listening to our demented evil leader was something I felt I needed to know. Yet by the end of the darkness, you left me with hope. I like how you tell the stories and analyze the latest situation. Thank you so much!
You are very good at this. And we need you.
