I watched the Kennedy "Profiles in Courage" awards ceremony tonight (awards to the people of the Twin Cities (Minnesota), who in countless ways stood up for their neighbors and against ICE; and to Jerome Powell, recently retired head of the Federal Reserve. Powell was introduced by Caroline Kennedy's son, who did not hold back in his criticism of DJT. Powell's own remarks focused on integrity, working for all the people, and so on. I kept thinking all of this may bring on a new set of rancid posts from the White House.
How about a coup to install a presidential team? Let's say Heather Cox Richardson, Joyce Vance, Anne Applebaum, Heather Delaney Reese, and Marianne Williamson, for the women I follow among other great ones. And there could be more or less than five. Just picture warm, smart, human-loving human beings leading our way. If they state that they are taking charge, so many millions would be on the streets in Washington that we couldn’t be thwarted.
Hi Heather, thank you for your posts. I live in the UK and remember when Kennedy was assassinated....I cried. I worry about the USA and the impact that Trump has had on its standing in the world. I sincerely hope that he, and his cohorts, are removed. Sending love x
