Earlier today, the Federal Communications Commission’s David J. Brown issued a letter that would have been unthinkable coming from the FCC under any other president. The letter was not to inform or protect the American people from any real threat, but instead to further the President of the United States’ personal hit list. And his reason for sending this letter was clear. To go after anyone who refuses to fall in line with Trump’s demands, and to scare and silence dissent on Donald Trump’s behalf. That intent became clear when he invoked federal authority to target the network airing a comedian the President has publicly demanded be fired. Buried inside that letter is where it becomes more dangerous...
I do not believe that Melania wrote that post nor that Donald wrote his as both are far too joined up literally.
I have enjoyed seeing Melania animated because she has had the Queen to talk to - must less wooden and mechanical.
What was fascinating is seeing VP Vance not even crack a smile while the king was talking in the senate and only standing up to clap when everyone else did. Don’t think he understood a single word being said !!

Interesting that on Tuesday trump himself made reference to the fact that he and Melania do not have long years for their marriage to last given their age differences in his speech with the King and Queen. Exactly what Kimmel was referring to on Thursday night.

The King’s speech ….now THERE is the story…how beautifully he made his points…so perfectly veiled but completely understood. How fascinating to watch as they ALL stood and applauded his calm and calculated criticism of this administration and their own actions as if they didn’t understand what he was saying. It was masterful and so refreshing to hear a man speak so eloquently without any reference to himself and be able to drive home his points with the precision of a laser ..no bravado..only civility ..dignity..grace…resolve.

A minor correction: Jimmy Kimmel wasn't pretending that Melania and Barron were in his studio. The whole premise of his presentation was that he was giving the traditional roast at the White House Correspondents' dinner, and they were among the guests there.

I think Kimmel, Comey, and Heather are demonstrating the courage our Democracy demands if we are to survive these historic attacks from within. We need to combine our voices, values, and stand together to fight for the freedoms and laws that our Constitution gives us. Demand our right to vote in a free and fair election. The one thing they fear the most is, "We The People".
I wonder what it would be like if we had a president who spent at least 10 minutes a day performing presidential duties? Actually attending to matters of the country? But Donald is so busy with hateful, petty grievances and retribution that there's no time to do the work for the people.
