Trump's FREE jet from Qatar is costing US Taxpayers 1 BILLION Dollars
He gets to keep the plane when his term ends.
On Juneteenth, the day that marks the end of slavery in America, the President of the United States stepped off a freshly redesigned Air Force One to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” gripping the rail and staring at his feet, pausing halfway down to catch his breath. He was there to show off a flying palace, a luxury jet gifted by the ruling family of Qatar and refashioned at taxpayer expense, complete with glossy wood, leather interiors, and a paint scheme modeled after his own personal aircraft. “A normal president wouldn’t do this,” he told the crowd, without any awareness of how it sounded. He was right. A normal president would not beg a foreign government for a castaway plane. He was not describing the strength of our democracy or the courage of our people. He was describing the interior of a plane he did not pay for.
For over 60 years, presidents of both parties flew under the same robin’s egg blue that Jacqueline Kennedy introduced in 1962, because the color represented continuity, the idea that the office was bigger than any one person. Trump looked at sixty years of shared history and said it was time for a change. And the costs are staggering. The Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause prohibits accepting gifts from foreign states without the consent of Congress, which never voted on this. Aviation experts estimate the security overhaul could exceed a billion taxpayer dollars to retrofit a $400 million plane that will fly for roughly two years before being handed over to Trump’s presidential library foundation when he leaves office. We pay to upgrade it, secure it, and train pilots on it. Then it becomes part of his legacy. And his official schedule listed no events marking Juneteenth, the second year in a row he refused to acknowledge the holiday.
But 24 hours earlier, a very different scene unfolded in Chicago. At the dedication of the Obama Presidential Center, the three other living former presidents, Clinton, Bush, and Biden, all gathered together. The only living president absent was the current one. Michelle Obama stood at the podium and, without ever saying his name, made it clear exactly who she meant. “A lasting legacy isn’t an award or name on a building or a number of zeros in a bank account,” she said, “but the difference we make in one another’s lives.” And then: “Hope is a choice. Whether or not we use our voices to speak up is a choice. Voting is a choice.” On Juneteenth, those words carry a weight that reaches far beyond Chicago. Because freedom is not real until it reaches everyone, and the distance between a promise and its fulfillment is measured in courage. No one is coming to save us. We are the ones doing the saving.

Why are we allowing him to commit billions of dollars worth of grift and corruption?
Why are a lot of Americans, and most of mainstream media, acting like this is normal?
He also gets to have two scoops of ice cream but everyone else can only have one.
