In the early morning hours of May 6, Donald J. Trump woke up to another day of leisure and luxury at his residence inside the White House. He did not start the day focused on bringing costs down for the American people or determined to permanently end his war in Iran. But instead, by daydreaming about his palatial gold-plated ballroom.
The construction project, which is always top of mind for him, had entered a dangerous new phase. With the cost ballooning to nearly five times the price he originally stated, and the reality of his promise of “private funding” collapsing in front of him, Trump's panic was setting in as he knew the time had come for the American people to know the truth.

I’m not as hopeful as you are. Heather‘s articles are very detailed and specific, and I applaud those, but I don’t feel hopeful about what I read, because we all sit in our silo here and deplore it all, but what are we doing to get the story out to those who think he’s great? That’s the part that’s frustrating to me.
He is never focused on anything but his own wants and desires. He’s a selfish, greedy, misogynistic pedophile rapist. Supported by a corrupt Republican Party who apparently admire all those qualities as long as they can be in on the massive grift of the American people.
Both American parties have stopped focusing on ensuring regular Americans get a fair slice of the growing prosperity. The American Dream is all but gone while we add more and more billionaires every week. Corporate lawyers will be shown as the boring but effective weapons that fool politicians and outrun regulations. Until federal government policies bring in a wealth tax there will be no changes, and poverty will be in most Americans' futures.
