Trump’s behavior is getting harder to understand
After hiding at Mar-a-Lago all weekend while 8 million Americans protested in the streets, the President of the United States emerged aboard Air Force One and spent 20 minutes telling reporters that negotiations with Iran are going “extremely well,” then in the same breath said, “you never know with Iran because we negotiate with them and then we always have to blow them up.” He said he would “probably” make a deal, then immediately added, “but it’s possible we won’t.” He does not know if Iran’s supreme leader is alive or dead. He cannot identify a single person he is negotiating with. And the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee said this morning that Trump “flat-out” lied about negotiations last week because he saw the stock market crashing and “made it up.”
Then he got bored with the war. You could see the moment it happened. He pulled out architectural renderings of the ballroom he is building at the White House and described hand-carved Corinthian columns and drone-proof ceilings with more enthusiasm than he had shown during any moment discussing the war that has killed 13 American service members and wounded more than 300. He compared being “ahead of schedule” on the ballroom to being “ahead of schedule” on the war, as if Corinthian columns and a ground invasion belong in the same progress report. And then he said the word “wars,” the word his own administration has spent 30 days refusing to use because the Constitution requires congressional authorization he never sought. He called Democrats “terrorists.” He confirmed Cuba is next. And the government shutdown he caused is now the longest in American history.
The president who spent his Sunday night showing off ballroom drawings to reporters is losing his grip, and the country is making sure he knows it. November is coming.

I’m sharing video versions of my nightly posts in addition to the written ones. We are living through a pivotal moment for our country, and my goal is to reach as many people as possible with clear, factual information about what is happening. The more people who understand what is unfolding, the better our chances of pushing back against chaos, cruelty, and corruption ahead of the midterms.
Thank you for your continued support. Your paid subscriptions have enabled me to add a video editor and reach more people.
Independent journalism is under attack. You can make a difference with a $5/month paid subscription. Your support allows me to keep telling the truth about the lies and destruction unfolding in our country, defend myself from constant pressure from MAGA extremists, and ultimately spread the message to more people.
I’m fighting to save our country (before it’s too late).
I’ll see you tomorrow,
Heather

He’s obviously not a rational person, quite obviously. The NO KINGS March demonstrably made our thoughts very clear. We have all been telling our Congress representatives that the tangerine man is whacked for quite a while now through our emails and voicemails – if you have not been doing that, get after it! That’s about all we can do as citizens, but our Congress representatives are not doing their jobs, just letting a demented man do his thing. Plus they’re on vacation until the end of next week and they haven’t been policing Mr Prune hand anyway. Thanks Heather.
Not when it dawns on you he’s crazy.
