Trump just put himself above the law with one hidden agreement
What Representative Don Beyer called “the largest single act of grand larceny in American history” turned out to be even worse than we first learned. Hidden in the paperwork, quietly added a day after the original announcement, was a one-page addendum that broadens the settlement far beyond what the public was told. In the Justice Department’s own words, the federal government is “FOREVER BARRED and PRECLUDED” from “prosecuting or pursuing any and all claims” against Trump, his sons, his businesses, and their affiliates, not just at the IRS, but across “other agencies or departments.” Trump is now permanently shielded from any unpaid taxes. His entire family and every business he owns are permanently shielded from federal investigation of any kind. And the man who signed it on behalf of the United States of America used to bill Donald Trump by the hour to defend him from federal prosecution.
When Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche was pressed in Senate testimony on who could apply for the $1.776 billion payout, he refused to rule out January 6th defendants. “There’s no limitation on the claims,” he said. Senator Chris Van Hollen told him directly, “You are still acting as the president’s personal lawyer, not as acting attorney general.” Trump took reporters on a tour of the six-story-deep underground fortress being built beneath the White House, describing it as “the safest building ever built” with a military hospital, research facilities, impenetrable steel, and what he called a “drone port.” He is fortifying himself against the consequences of what he is doing to us.
But the wall is cracking. The Senate voted 50 to 47 to advance a war powers resolution to force Trump to end the Iran war. Four Republicans crossed the line, including Bill Cassidy, who lost his primary after Trump endorsed his opponent to punish him. Cassidy walked into that chamber with nothing left to lose and cast his vote. Trump is loyal to no one, and every loyalist eventually learns that the only thing they got for their loyalty was a knife in the back. More of them are going to be forced to make that same calculation in the months ahead. November is coming.

Liz Oyer, Former DOJ Pardon Attorney, explanation: Instagram Reel

Surely the AG does not have the power to so singularly wave his paw and decree such immunity. That's the kind of authority kings make for themselves.
They just making shit up as they go along.
A family of grifters and total sleazeballs! Just sickening!
