This morning, with children carefully placed as props by his side, the President of the United States sat in his high-backed leather chair inside the Oval Office while cameras recorded every word that was said. Behind him stood professional athletes, cabinet members, and administration officials, all packed tightly together as a show of support for the return of the Presidential Fitness Award. This carefully staged event was supposed to be all about bringing the program back, but Trump quickly took the moment in a completely different direction. He told one little girl she shouldn’t play volleyball because of her size. He asked another child if they thought they could fight him, then began telling the room about Iranian protesters being shot “right between the eyes” before drifting into more bizarre commentary and awkward jokes. All while children were made to stand right beside him, smiling for the cameras.
I encourage everyone to find Stephen Colbert's interview with Obama tonight. To see what a real leader looks and sounds like. To regain our optimism and belief that this current crap doesn't have to be our future.
Hitler’s youth was exactly the phrase that came to mind. Potential future cannon fodder, like the ones he put at in grave danger in the Strait of Hormuz yesterday. Obsession with violence, hatred and destruction. All this in front of young children. He should never be brought into the proximity of children. Discrimination, inappropriate language and things children should never have to hear, let alone from an individual whose office they are compelled to revere.

This is horrifying on so many levels. I too had to stop a few times because of the visceral revulsion of what was described. It reminded me of children being subjected to a drunk pedophile uncle at a family gathering where all the adults knew what was going on but were afraid to speak up. I'm surprised Shitler didn't grab the volleyball/soccer girl. That's his ideal age, no?

How many others are subjected to abuse by a trusted figure like a teacher or a religious figure? How many girls, upon reaching puberty, become "eye candy" to men like Epstein and Twump? Republicans talk to the press about how If Trump would just stay on message about the economy, as if there is any good news to report there but I digress, his poll numbers would improve and the Republican Party would be in better standing. As if it’s just a communication problem they face, rather than a holistic and systemic Trump problem that presents itself every day. As if his inappropriate and disgusting behavior is something he could turn off for the cameras, when it’s the cameras that stimulate and elicit the display. Two days ago he was using small business owners as props for his uncontrolled psyche. Yesterday it was even worse with him asking a child if he thinks he could take him in a fight or telling a girl she is too short for volleyball. The Hitler youth observation is accurate but I doubt he is sharp enough to make that connection. It’s his advisors, principally Hegseth and Kennedy, who are using this empty vessel as a prop to get that message across. And therein lies the advisor’s real motivation. Tolerating the off message stupidity from a man who is barely there cognitively so they can use the gravity of the office of the President to advance their insidious agenda
