At 10:25 this morning, the President of the United States entered the East Room of the White House to the sound of "Hail to the Chief." As he walked down a red carpet lined on either side by members of the military standing at attention, he struggled to walk in a straight line to the podium, his steps wavering from side to side. Once at the podium, the room grew quiet in anticipation of what was meant to be a remembrance ceremony for Angel Families, parents and relatives who have lost loved ones to horrific acts of violence. But what followed was yet another deeply embarrassing moment in his presidency. He even went so far as to tell families who have faced the most unimaginable loss a human being can endure that he has "suffered for the country," comparing the weight of a presidency he campaigned for, fought for, and demanded, to that of having a loved one murdered. Today is 4 years. A lot has been lost but not Ukraine may we say a heartfelt prayer for them and carry on standing firm when others are shouting capitulate

He's lived in a privileged bubble...no paper route or grocery bagging or lawn mowing, no school bus rides, no military service. No suburban neighbor network of families, sitting in the bleachers cheering on the kids, working the snack stand. That said I will watch tonight along with you, because I want to see his interaction with SCOTUS justices, especially the dreaded 6. I'm also hoping that when he enters the chamber that his sycophants shake his fucking hand so hard that he starts hemorrhaging and well, you get the picture.

Oh excellent thought - that’s the proof of liars. There will be some shred of actuality amidst the crazy. I think you’re exactly right. While I’m commenting anyway, the thought has occurred to me that I think that all the negative superlatives for this disgusting piece of flesh have been exhausted. He just needs to leave, or be hastily removed.
And yet, I’m guessing not one single person in that room got up and walked out. Which they most certainly should have done. Anyone with an ounce of awareness who was grieving the loss of a child should’ve walked out at his ridiculous, offensive words. And yet they sat there, after having accepted his invitation and showed the world , just by doing so, how they feel about him.
I take comfort in the many talented people of this country who have had enough of this criminal behavior, and have made the decision to run for office to safeguard our democracy. They need our support, so please do whatever you can to ensure their success.
