This morning, instead of addressing Russian drones over Europe or four more deaths in a U.S. military strike, Trump attacked a female journalist for asking about a $300 million White House ballroom. Meanwhile, ICE agents pepper-sprayed a sitting Congresswoman, European leaders warned each other not to leave Zelensky alone with Trump’s team, and published strategy documents show the administration praising far-right extremism in Europe. Our allies see the danger. Many Americans don’t.
As stark as the situation is Heather, ordinary Europeans will never abandon true Americans. The regime is rotten, full of hatred and betrayal, but we still believe the vast majority of Americans to be against these Fascist elements. “Not in our name” we hear, “No Kings” etc. The eyes of the world are watching, we may no longer trust your government, but we will always trust the people. I know a lot of people are in shock, they have no emotional map to deal with the atrocities that are happening. But, as with all dictators, they can and will be defeated. Stay strong, do not give in. We are with you in spirit and in action if needs be. X

I wonder how much more of this we can take. The escalating fascism and destruction of our rules of law cannot stand. We either have to turn this back powerfully at the midterms or will need a separation by blue states. How can we continue to fund a federal government that is evil and destroys everything we believe in?
BUT how can we not when the taxes are pulled from our paychecks and rolled up to the Treasury where crude expenses for the trips to play golf could pay a lot towards SNAP or Medicaid or education not to mention the costs of our most expensive air craft carrier in the Caribbean instead of the Mediterranean where it's presence meant hope for Ukraine and Peace in the middle east. We don't need to overturn the government of Venezuela but strengthen the people who are it's citizens to accomplish it themselves. Trump wants a war to get war powers here. Plain and simple.
