Is he a dictator yet? This government is now a kleptocracy being run by an autocrat. In fact, being run by thieves. And who are the thieves? They are the Republican/Maga members of Congress. I won’t use the word Republican anymore since it has no meaning. There aren’t any of them left, except for maybe three or four. Everybody else has given their souls, their children’s souls, their family’s souls, and have given him, their Lord and Savior, Donald Trump, our America. They have allowed him to break the law, put him above the law, put him above their constituency, put him above the 250 years of fighting for and cherishing our liberties and our democracy. One man, this monster, now has control over them and is getting more and more control over all of us, every single day. Yes this is now a dictatorship. Those of you who voted for him, I will feel no compunction to call you out and never to feel pity for you or sadness for you when you find out that he in fact, doesn’t give a wit about you and has only used you for his own gain. He has told you more than once that he doesn’t care about you. I don’t know what is difficult to understand about that. I’m glad I will never understand why any of you voted for him, now enable him and are complicit to his sadistic behavior. I pray that come November, the smirks will be wiped off your faces with a huge Democratic win.

I think at this point we need to stop referring to DJT's Congressional Republican sycophants as Republicans and start referring to them as Trumpicans.

As gut wrenching and disgusting it is every day watching this regime dismantle our Democracy, we cannot plug our ears and look away, it's what they want us to do. Silence and complicity is not an option, standing up and speaking out is!

Vicki Archibald's avatar

That’s how it happens! If we just say nothing and do nothing we are part of the problem.

I'm more and more convinced the cult members either grew up or are now living in emotionally/mentally abusive relationships and are comfortable in it. It's what they know and those people have usually convinced themselves their abuser "loves" them. This is a very, very similar situation.

What if we all stop paying our bills? Stop our mortgage/rent payments, car payments, credit cards, utilities, all of it. A coordinated effort to do this with a basic set of demands will get attention quickly and we can skip the politicians all together. Don’t worry about your credit rating, haha. With this tool we can also rewrite those bs rules. Pair this with a work strike and the impact doubles. The idea is to directly pressure the banks and businesses, who own the politicians, to act. Possible demands: Trump is removed from office and all elections are secured from electronic or military or redistricting interference. For starters.

Billsburg's avatar

I'd like to figure out a way to stop paying taxes. We paid taxes when we earned it, we pay them when we use our retirement and now, at 74, we have to withdraw more so the government will get more tax revenue. It's insanity.

Neil Kozlowicz's avatar

Absolutely. And we have less and less say about where the tax money goes. Time to pull the plug on the whole thing. Do you think that people afraid to stop paying their debts and bills to protest government injustice? To me it seems like the most direct way to influence those who really have the power, banks and businesses. I stopped paying my mortgage in 2009 when it was underwater to force the mtgt company to accept a short sale. Someone at the bank told us if we keep paying they wouldn’t settle. Why not do this on a national scale? If we keep going along with the corruption it will not go away.

As this is “the largest single act of grand larceny”, how would it not stand to reason that the entire Republican Party who are completely in lockstep with Trump not equally complicit, and must also be held accountable.

Todd Blanche for high treason! Now!

Absolutely. These monsters are an absolute, total disgrace to humanity.

Judging by the wreckage of disbarments, criminal convictions and trashed legal careers left by now former lawyers who served Sleepy Dr. Jesus during his first term - looking at you Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell and Lin Wood with your combined 100+ years of experience as former attorneys - Blanche can pretty much expect the same once Sleepy Doc takes his last nap.

Otherwise, if he is participating in Dr. Jesus and Sons' grifting and stealing from the United States Treasury - which declared the United States insolvent around the time Sleepy Dr. Jesus and Dipshit Pete were unilaterally killing Iranian schoolgirls with cruise missiles - open season is now.

Of course, what did anyone voting for a convicted felon, six-time bankrupt and sexual predator judgment defendant really expect.

From a European distance: it is hard to believe that there can always be more scandals with this regime, that you can sink even lower. But it is bottomless. With the huge pot of money of 1.776 billion, schools, hospitals, roads and bridges could be built. Instead, the hooligans of January 6 are paid. Convicted enemies of the state. This is so absurd that my hope for a change in the near future is fading again. Is a functioning America really history? Not yet. Keep writing and documenting what's wrong, which names are responsible for it. It will be needed in the next Nuremberg trial (an American judiciary will never be able to deal with this again).

Let’s not forget the ones who promoted and protect him. He is a figurehead now and, if and when the time comes, we must take them out along with him. He is an EVIL man who lies like the devil, and believe he and all his followers should end up in hell on earth with him.

One key feature of belzebuth is to make plenty people believe he does not exist. Ask all these maga cultists morons who think von trump is djeesus 2.0! And they still ask for more. Insane indeed. Fuck gop and scotus

Heather, this is absolutely appalling. There seems to be no bounds to Trump's avariciousness and depravity. Whilst I was having breakfast this morning and watching TV I saw a headline about Congressman Thomas Massie losing his fight for re-election to Ed Gaffrein (spelling?) who is Trump approved. DJT then called Massie "a major sleazebag" and "the worst Republican Congressman in history". This is the way he talks about a fellow Republican. We here in the UK really feel for all Americans and hope that the 25th Amendment can be used against him. We can only live in hope.

Billsburg's avatar

The good (hopefully) news is that guys like Massie and a couple of others who lost their primaries are now unleashed. Again, hopefully, they will use that power for their own brand of "retribution".

One hopes that Todd Blanche is not protected from prosecution. Let take all those dollars he just activated back from him.

I am deeply angry and I don’t live in USA, the democrats have to

Put their heads above the parapet. The two world wars were not won by frightened people. People were brave and got up to disrupt and make the world a better place for your children and grandchildren. Trump is corrupt and his family the Mafiosi so dangerous and appallingly corrupt. It has to be stopped.

These things are objectively and verifiably true:

Donald J Trump is

A cheat ✅

A liar ✅

A thief ✅

The United States is being destroyed by a criminal mob.

Anyone who doesn’t see this is beyond redemption.

This isn't a joke anymore, it's getting seriously fucked up… I don't predict a good ending for all of this Trump story, the problem is not just Trump, it's all the people around him that gladly stand by him, that shows you the level of corruption in that party, that after all, the only thing they care is absolute power without caring about the people or democracy…

It's not going to be easy for Americans to get back their country without a civil war.. Remember this and the day I'm saying it..

Daniel. You must have read my comment that Trump IS the father of lies. John 8:44. He, like Putin, is the manifestation of evil. “ There is no truth in him.” All who follow him are headed to the river. Heather is right. Our anger must be focused but as righteous indignation. My blood boils when I see the depth of the corruption and injustice by Trump and his ilk. Karma is a universal Law. Trump cannot escape it nor his lemmings. Trump IS the darkness before the light. The dawn is coming. Heather is 100% spot on. Everyone of us must call the evil out. Trump is disintegrating before our very eyes. He is sinking deeper and deeper into madness. He is a pawn in God’s intelligent design for humanity. He is the poster child for what the “fall” looks like. Everyone but his MAGATS can see it. We The People don’t want what he’s peddling. I will continue to try to get my story out to the world. At some point someone will examine the 53 years of research and evidence and do something about it.

Thank you Heather. Like you, I have been deeply sad for weeks (maybe months). But my anger is winning out over the sadness, especially the events of the last few days.

And you bring me hope. Your writing, your focus, your drive - I know that myself and all of the people subscribing to you are willing to join you in this fight for an America with democracy restored. Thank you for this one, and for all that you do every day.👍🙏🙏💙💙

Nice piece. I particularly liked, "Cassidy did not break ranks because he had a change of heart about Trump. He broke ranks because Trump cost him his career, and once a man has nothing left to lose, the calculation changes."

If it's April 1945 and you're the Red Army with 80 divisions within an hour's drive of Berlin, you can get away with backing your adversary into a corner. Otherwise? Be very, very careful.

OK, so here we have another episode in Trump's continuing descent into madness, inside his bubble of insanity. What he says and does are only fantasies, what he imagines and not actual accomplishments described as done deals. They are translated into reality by his accomplices and enablers like Todd Blanche, Stephen Miller, et al., including the Congressional and MAGA Republicans who are feeding his fantasies. The real parts, including his translators, will be undone—by us, starting at the mid-terms. That is the total reality.

George McCully's avatar

It has occurred to me that Trump, being insane, is just fantasizing, and legally will be held not guilty by reason of insanity. The guilty parties who are accountable for committing crimes and will be punished, are those who translate his fantasies into official acts that hurt people and cause official damage. So when the reckoning comes they, and not he, will do time. The 25th amendment is the preventative, and they have not just an opportunity, but a legal responsibility and obligation, to defend the country. Their compliance and enabling is the justiciable crime here. They should think about that and do their duty.

Again after 250 years of fighting for freedom from a kingdom we are faced with a Déjà vu but instead of a king-dom we are faced with a dumb-king or rather wannabe. It seems fitting to be asked how much our freedom from lies, tyranny, and corruption is worth. It shows the flaws in Government that men 250 years ago couldn’t fathom. The fact that a country could be governed by a corrupt president who has the ability to stack a SCOTUS with allies, to place in every single independent office of government a minion of his preference, and set into the Dept. of Justice his very own personal lawyer is hard to imagine. But fathomable. Where in the world, is this kind of gov. considered a Declaration of Independence. Things have to change, but not just for this one situation. The DOJ‘s ‘trump get out of jail’ paper, is as cheap and void as the paper used to make it. After 250 years a new attest to our commitment to independence is being demanded. That impenetrable bunker under ground is a hint of what’s to come.

The IRS famously was the lone federal force that threw the dragnet over notorious mob boss Al Capone. God, who would ever have thought the Leviathan horror Trump could come along and make Capone look like a garden variety chump?
