It seems to me that if one was threatening a State's Congress persons that the State would have something to say about that. So if the States stood by thinking this would be handled on a Federal level what is now stopping States from asserting their position and begin to charge all these insurrectionists?
Destroying records on a federal level might just be another distraction so States have a harder time.
They can try all they want to erase history, but the internet is forever. Everything they post, say on TV, and try to "erase" is forever. Published documents and books on every subject, and photos taken on things DJT wants erased cannot be erased. Hitler tried to ban and destroy books that didn't support his regime, DJT's regime is doing the same. Current technology ensures that once something is out there, it's out there forever.
