Project 2025 lays out exactly how they intend to turn that illusion into permanent control: fire career civil servants, replace them with loyalists, gut education, weaken the IRS, and funnel wealth to the top one percent. And like every authoritarian before him, Trump is using chaos to keep us too exhausted to fight back.

I believe the motivation by greed you lay out is real for Trump. I also believe that much of what we’re seeing in his behavior is, on a Freudian level, a deeply damaged ego searching for validation. Everything he does and says is designed to feed his unquenchable thirst for approval. (His parents must have been fun) If he can’t wrangle it out of others, he simply trumpets it himself and makes everyone go along with the lie, because it doesn’t matter if it’s true, it matters how it feels. When the approval doesn’t come and no-one will believe his lies, as when he was rejected in 2020 and his crimes exposed, his childhood rage turns toward retribution. Deprive a toddler until it goes into a tantrum, and then hand it the tools of mass destruction - what a great idea. This is why Trump is so dangerous. He can’t be reasoned with and nothing will ever satisfy him. I pray the end comes soon, for all our sakes.

Trump is a broken, sick man whose need for adulation can never fill his empty heart. He wants to break this country in his own image. I believe his act is beginning to collapse on itself but we will see. The continued implementation of Project 25 combined with Stephen Miller’s Goebel level cruelty and Trumps constant lying is failing. They just don’t realize it yet. Their redistricting plan is backfiring, we are onto them. Hopefully the blowback is not too late to save our country.
My mind circles around this all day. Some moments I don't see a way back to any sort of "normal," and then other times I have faith that this is a deep dip before we reach new heights of growth for our country. Hope always wins for me. I hope it does for you, too.
