The real reason behind Trump's new WAR

The President of the United States returned to the White House after managing a war from his private club in Florida. As he crossed the South Lawn, reporters shouted questions about Iran, about the war, and about the three American service members who had just been killed. He didn’t answer a single one. Instead, he walked to the Rose Garden to admire two new statues of Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, called them “unbelievable,” and disappeared into the West Wing.

Operation Epic Fury, Trump’s new war, has cost American lives and killed untold numbers of Iranian civilians. The war spread across the Gulf, into Israel, Lebanon, and a British military base. Hezbollah entered the fight. A drone struck NATO-allied territory in Cyprus. The Strait of Hormuz has been disrupted.

And while the Middle East burns, the next targets were already being lined up. Hours before the first bombs fell on Iran, Trump stood outside the White House and floated what he called a “friendly takeover of Cuba,” with Marco Rubio leading the effort. Venezuela. Iran. Cuba. Greenland. Each target gets a little harder to justify. Each one pushes the line a little further. And nobody is pulling him back.
