This afternoon, President Trump finally emerged from his self-imposed exile for the “Champion of Coal” event at the White House, where he stunned the entire room with grave concern for his well-being. In the middle of his speech, he stared down at the page in front of him, took a long inhale, then slowly lifted his head, with his eyes vacant of expression, and slurred through what sounded like, “I’m proud to officially name the… undeshibly dishowen… when did this come out, Mr. Speaker…” Not only was it incoherent, but in the context of what he had been saying just moments earlier, it made no sense whatsoever. It was as if what he was reading, what he was trying to say, and what he actually said were three different things. In a normal situation...
I caught some highlights of Bondi’s performance on the British evening news yesterday. The type of gutter behaviour was absolutely shocking, when you are accustomed to the courteous and polite behaviour of EU and British politicians (even if they don’t mean all of it). What Bondi excreted doesn’t become a lawyer, and certainly not a government official. Maybe it is a side effect of the Mar-a-Lago face……..
Thanks Heather - very comprehensive summary of what was a disgusting show of anti-justice by the "Attorney General of Trump-world."
I recently watched the 2024 "Apprentice" - the movie by Ali Abbasi that covers Trump's early development of sociopathic financial and political behavior under the mentorship of his "Attorney," Roy Cohn.
Cohn's "Three Rules:"
1) Attack, Attack, Attack - totally on display today
2) Never admit any wrongdoing - ever - (deflect any and all factual evidence)
3) Always claim victory, no matter how big (or obvious) the defeat (I am not in the Epstein Files)
Trump lives by these rules, and Bondi's ridiculous performance was precisely following them. Eventually, Cohn got disbarred, and then suffered a rapid decline in health and died.
I'm not sure if Trump is going to follow that path as well, but from your description of his speech tonight, it might not be a bridge too far.
Twice, in her many refusals to answer, I heard Bondi say, “I will not get down in the gutter with her”” (or similar phrasing.) I beg to differ with her. She was already in the depths of the gutter, trying to induce the lawmakers to get down there with her. What an abhorrent person and performance.
Everything about this is all so horrible and shocking, but I have seen that comment about "your littlest girl" a few times now, and it's almost as if it's a visceral punch to the gut. The fact that these people talk about their victims as if the victims are somehow willing, deliberately beguiling, participants. Beyond. Disgusting.
I wish that I had been a congressman in that room with Bondi. I would have asked in a quiet tone something along the lines of "Miss Bondi, you took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution and to obey all the laws and prosecute criminals who violate those laws. When are you going start following the law and Constitution? I can wait for your answer."
I agree with all you said, but why has there been no reference to the Walk for Peace that ended yesterday on DC? Does anyone in the administration even know or care about the enormous outpouring of support the monks’ effort has received?
Yours is the only place I saw about the spying on the people reading the Epstein files. You’re right this is outrageous and needs to be followed up on by mainstream media
It was unbelievable to watch the total and complete disgusting behavior by the Trump appointed Cheerleader Attorney General. No disrespect to real Cheerleaders! What a grotesque and petulant display!
I am strongly seconding Heather’s request to contact/email your Senator to implore him or her NOT TO VOTE for the SAVE America Act. This bill would increase requirements (aka restrictions) on citizens rights to vote, including mail-in ballots, which are very important to citizens who are 65 and older; my wife and I have achieved that distinction. All you have to do is Google your Senator’s name (if you don’t know who your Senator is, you can ask Google “Who is the Senator for zip code XXXXX (your zip code)”. There will be a section within their webpage where you may call or email them.
Senators are pretty good about reading their constituents emails so PLEASE take the small amount of time to exercise your rights and call or email your Senator! Thank you.
Also watch the MS NOW nightly show, “The Briefing With Jen Psaki” who was President Biden’s Press Secretary for as long as she could take it. She is really good and includes many currently pertinent guests.
Bondi’s behavior is beyond shocking. She is even less cognizant of her duty to serve than a toddler in a kindergarten class and much less apt to meet any moment brought upon her. It is unbelievable that the Republicans go along with all of this. Serving one’s country has no low bar for them. Sadly it is now only to occupy a seat in Congress to claim an opportunity for graft & corruption - as does their leader.

Thanks again - - you do great work!
It's also where he may have picked up some of his proclivities and a life of sexual deviation, i.e. from Roy Cohn.

Bondi showed herself as what she really is ..white trash.

This is the most important election in the history of this country. We need a Blue Tsunami to start washing away the trumpian stain on our history...
...that stain on America's history is the one thing I really want his name on.
