At 11:21 this morning, with air already thick with humidity, and a Marine posted outside the West Wing of the White House, Donald Trump was nowhere to be seen. For the entire day, members of the press were ready, willing, and able to do their jobs, standing by as they waited for Donald Trump to make a public appearance. He never did. Instead, the President of the United States remained hidden away in one of the most secure buildings on the entire planet.
At 6:06 pm, White House correspondent John Bennett posted, “After a very quiet day, the White House called a travel/photo lid at 6 p.m. Have a good evening, folks.” Thus ending a full day in which the President of the United States never appeared before the American people.
In normal times, we wouldn’t question a president who made no press appearances for a day, even though he had six policy meetings on his schedule. But this is Donald Trump. He lives on drama and chaos, constantly looking for ways to distract his fellow Americans from the real issues he is unwilling or unable to confront. When he goes quiet, it normally means something is happening behind the scenes that he doesn’t want anyone else to know about.
Trump: "Pay all your attention to the man in front of the curtain..." - and not to the Trump-Epstein files he has hidden behind it. Meanwhile the victims are still waiting for some sort of justice while Congress sits there every day with their thumbs up their... well, you know where they're at.

Joe Biden was well on his way to accomplishing much of what Heather cited in this excellent piece..those things can happen with the right administration at the helm.
They don’t happen overnight but the wheels are definitely put in motion with the right people in charge..those with the best interests of the people who gave them their jobs first and foremost…NOT those who bought their jobs in return for more money..power ..breaks.
These millionaires/ billionaires are not putting one red cent back into this country in taxes..imagine the benefits if they were required to pay their fair share like the rest of us. Things would look and feel and BE a lot different.
Being rich does not make one better than anyone else or more special..or more important..it just makes them more able to buy ..do ..and have what they want.

I know that every president shows his personality and humanity during his term. But I never thought we would have to decipher what stage of dementia and narcissism our fearful leader is at. It’s not just worrying about what he’s going to do to destroy our constitution but we also have to worry about this nut going off the rails. I hope someone with an ounce of sense changed the nuclear codes because that bloated lunatic is going to take everyone down with him when he loses control of congress. And God only knows what took these rock headed republicans this long to figure out Trump wasn’t going to do them any favors. He’s worried about repulsive self and no one else.
And one more thing, if people are thinking he’s sexually active with this Natalie character, come on!!! They have to shoot him up with adoral to prepare him to give a speech, what in the world could they pump him with to perform , and yuck!! It's so hard to watch the damage that Trump is doing. You also mention it's tragic to realize all the things that America could do, but is not doing, like working to slow climate change, preparing for job losses due to AI, restoring USAID, and assisting Ukraine.
I dont know the details of the analysis, but while non-citizens are prohibited from voting in federal elections, they ARE allowed to vote in many local elections across this country. It's probable from the description that the Census Bureau did not determine exactly what these 24000 voters voted for in the 2020 election, thus the possibility that many of these were legal votes. Its these kinds of specious analyses that a lying administration will use to justify canceling votes in the future.
Do the people living on the islands within the new circled "U.S. territory" become U.S. nationals with the right to travel here without a visa? (If the territory only includes the water that would be strange because the word territory literally means "land". ) Do we still own the water after if flows out of the gulf? Do the now landlocked people living along other parts of the gulf have any say in the matter? Or is the whole thing just another instance of meaningless bluster from our very own minister of silly walks?
