I don’t believe Vance is going to do anything, nor do I believe the cabinet of loyalists would support him if he did. I don’t think Mike Johnson will call the House back to Washington. Thune might call the Senate back. Articles of impeachment mean passage by Congress and a trial. We don’t have time for that. The midterms are too far in the future, and there is no guarantee that there will be an election. I don’t think anything will stop him other than forcing him physically from the office. I can’t. I’m too old and physically weakened by age. It will take people of courage with our support to just take him out of the office or barricade him in Mar-a-Lago and block anyway for him to communicate. Jam his signals. I know this sounds as insane as Trump. I know that can’t be done, but something must be done before he puts the world in a tailspin. He may well order it, and we can just hope the military officers in command in the Persian Gulf refuse to follow an illegal order. Remember that Lt. As a former high school teacher, I can tell you if you put rules in place and then don't enforce them, you have no rules. The thing just grows and gets worse to the point where the good students, those who wouldn't ordinarily dream of indulging in an infraction, see no reason not to. Tardy? So what. Skip class? Who cares. Smoke in the bathroom? Get to your class! Skip school and wrap your car around a telephone pole? How did that happen??? They eventually make a more serious violation and so on.

FYI: Trump’s psychiatric diagnoses go far beyond narcissism - he has clearly had a “psychotic break”. But - beware of the remedy: JD Vance is no picture of mental health either. The only way I see a 25th amendment action being successful would involve a bipartisan group of senior House and Senate members meeting with Vance and letting him know they will watch every move. This group must let him know that if he doesn’t take down this ridiculous war, he’ll be the next president to be removed by the amendment. Then we would arrive at Mike Johnson, speaker of the House, who should receive the same stern warning. After witnessing 2 25th amendment take-downs, the endlessly elastic Johnson may behave.
