And for the record, Democratic-led immigration proposals have included expanded border security, modernized asylum processing, and legal pathways designed to reduce illegal crossings, all things Republicans have repeatedly blocked.
So no, the “solution” wasn’t to let millions in. The real problem is that Trump’s own policies, like shutting down legal asylum and ending international aid programs, actually increased border chaos.

Most of my family is career Military, both enlisted and officers, or in Law Enforcement, from state patrol to small town chiefs of polices. The difference here is there are both many, many current and former members of the Military that will not violate the oath they took to defend the Constitution of the U.S. and WILL NOT follow illegal orders by a fascist president because they know how the story ends, i.e. Hitler, Nazi Germany and a complete loss of democracy and citizen rights. I think you either underestimate or are blind to how much MAGA has infiltrated the police and military in America. I hope you're right, but I doubt you are. Plus, it has long been known that most people who join the military and police, have a pro- authoritarian personality type, as in wanting to be part of authority and being more inclined to obey authority figures, vs. being people who question authority..
Tom, I hope it doesn’t come to this, but if gets so bad that they start killing our kids/grandkids who are peacefully protesting and in college, i.e. like Kent State or Jackson State, that is the point of no return that the real silent/docile majority Americans will be mobilized like the sleeping giants we are! tRump should have been arrested and hauled off after Jan 5th, but our government and both parties have been infiltrated and compromised. Also, altho I'm not religious, I agree with your points about Trump having sold his soul and also believe that he totally fits the traits of the anti-Christ described in the Bible, which is ironic, considering the wide support he has from white evangelicals who believe in all those prophecies. They are, wittingly or unwittingly, aiding their anti-Christ, both in destroying the world and in opposing their supposed savior and God..
