The Last Guardrail Just Broke

Jerome Powell is now the target of a criminal investigation for refusing to manipulate the economy to serve Trump’s political goals. This is the latest escalation in an authoritarian takeover: Congress refuses to act while the DOJ is weaponized to punish anyone who won’t obey.

Trump isn’t running for re-election. He’s finishing what he started on January 6. If we don’t act now, we risk losing the last institutions still able to say no to unchecked power.
