The Great American Coverup
“MAGA, NEVER FORGET, OR IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!!!”
That’s what Donald Trump posted on Truth Social this afternoon. It’s not clear to anyone what he is referring to. But it reads like a threat. And it sounds like a warning coming from a man whose unraveling is no longer private. The whole world is watching.
Because this is the president who has publicly hinted that he either should or does hold the speakership, and within GOP circles, he is treated as if he does. This is the same man who accepted a crown from South Korea and didn’t seem to know it was symbolic. Who typed “South Carerdddd” and hit post on Truth Social earlier today. The ramblings of a man who is of unsound mind, but is leading the United States of America.
He speaks in riddles, lies, and fragments. And he still commands loyalty from the most dangerous people in America.
And we are supposed to just sit back and accept that Trump’s rambling speeches and collapsing sentences are acceptable. That the president can show his deficits like this and we can still feel safe knowing he has our back economically, socially, and against enemies foreign and domestic.
And yes, a lot of this goes back to the Epstein list and files. With the government shutdown, healthcare, and SNAP benefits teetering on a cliff, those are no longer top of mind for most, but that is what a lot of this is about, at least in the near term. Trump and his enablers thrive on this chaos, this distraction, and the time it’s buying. Because where we left off was them trying to convince us there’s actually no Epstein client list. No network. No tapes. No names. They want us to believe there’s nothing to see.
But that’s not the only thing they’re covering up inside the White House. We also need to talk about the deterioration of the president himself. Because their attempted erasure of one of the most horrifying criminal networks in modern history, the abuse of so many girls and young women, should be enough to end this administration. But the infection goes deeper. The president is deteriorating in front of our very eyes.
These aren’t parallel scandals; they’re overlapping strategies. Silence, denial, evasion. Whether it’s the president’s decline or Epstein’s secrets, the pattern is the same. Hide the truth. Protect the powerful. Punish the people asking questions.
When the House Oversight Committee released 30,000 pages of Epstein-related documents, it was supposed to be a moment of reckoning. But nearly all of it was already public. The names, the logs, the real evidence, still locked away. And now the Department of Justice says no Epstein client list ever existed.
So which is it? Was the list real until it wasn’t? Was it leaked until it vanished? Or is the truth so devastating, so connected to the people still holding power, that our whole country is worth destroying to keep it secret?
Are the Trump enablers also in the files, or covering for other high-profile people? Is that why they’re keeping Trump in office, even when he appears so impaired that he has to be handled like a child when representing our country? Like what happened in Japan, when the Prime Minister had to physically redirect him each time he got lost and started to stare into space.
And tonight, he posted this:
“The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country. This was accomplished, including a complete update and renovation of existing weapons, during my First Term in office. Because of the tremendous destructive power, I HATED to do it, but had no choice! Russia is second, and China is a distant third, but will be even within 5 years. Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis. That process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”
This is the man who has the nuclear codes.
Who claims he has instructed the Department of War to begin nuclear weapons testing, effective immediately. That’s not just unhinged. It’s a national security emergency. A man who can’t finish a sentence is now threatening to restart nuclear testing on his own authority. Unlike in his first term, he is still surrounded by loyalists who are sitting by and letting it happen. And somehow, this is still the man we’ve entrusted with humanity’s deadliest power.
We know what is happening. We’ve faced cover-ups before. When the Catholic Church moved predators instead of exposing them. When the Iran-Contra affair was buried under layers of secrecy to protect senior officials. When J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI ran secret operations to silence dissent. The elite always protect their own until public pressure breaks the silence.
Meanwhile, the president, who promised to release the Epstein files as a campaign promise and didn’t, is now showing visible signs of physical and cognitive decline. He stumbles over words. Forgets where he is. Loses his place mid-sentence. He’s been to Walter Reed twice in six months for “annual physicals” and had “routine” advanced imaging and testing done. He shows signs of swelling, bruising, and confusion.
And yes, aging brings changes. That alone is not disqualifying; it’s part of being human. But it is disqualifying if you built your campaign on mocking your opponent’s age and mental fitness. It’s disqualifying if you hold the nuclear codes. It’s disqualifying if the government is hiding the truth from the public.
Presidential secrecy isn’t new. But in the past, the consequences were quieter. This time, they’re cascading into national collapse.
And this isn’t the first time a president’s decline was kept from view. Woodrow Wilson ran the country from his sickbed while his wife quietly made decisions in his place. FDR’s paralysis was hidden behind carefully framed photos. JFK took daily painkillers for a disease few Americans ever knew he had. Even Reagan’s memory lapses were brushed aside until years later.
But this time, the decline isn’t being hidden; it’s being used as a weapon.
Because if the president is not well, then who is making decisions? If the Epstein files are still hidden, then who is being protected? If the truth is locked behind closed doors, then who holds the key? These are not abstract questions. They are the center of what we’re living through, a moment shaped not only by chaos, but by deliberate concealment.
The more they bury these very real and deeply disturbing scandals, the more they are betting we’re too tired, too scared, too hopeless to ask where the figurative bodies are. Where are the documents and the president’s doctors? When was his competence last intact? They are counting on our exhaustion. On our fear. On our silence.
None of this is normal. None of this is okay. And it will never be okay until the people responsible are exposed, not just for what they’ve done, but for what they’ve tried to erase.
If you’ve felt overwhelmed lately, I understand. Yesterday, I hit a wall. Some days, the weight of what’s being done to this country is simply too much to carry. The absurdity, the chaos, the steady stream of what feels like a joke, except it’s not. It’s real. And it’s happening. And the people complicit in covering it all up made me want to scream from the rooftops and ask why we’re not all in the streets stopping it.
What officially pushed me over the edge was seeing yet another person physically assaulted by ICE. We will look back on these days in horror. And I hold onto hope, stubborn and steady, that one day there will be trials and tribunals, with steep consequences for the humanitarian atrocities and constitutional crimes being committed.
I’ve sat in this place before. Numb, angry, exhausted. It hits like a wave and then lingers like fog. But I’ve learned something in those moments. The best antidote to despair is action.
So today, I did something about it. I reached out to friends and neighbors to make sure they had voted on Prop 50 here in California, or had a plan to. I looked into ways to help with food insecurity, especially as SNAP benefits disappear for so many families. I even searched for ways to support active-duty military members near me who are also struggling.
If you find yourself in the place I was yesterday, do something, anything, to remind yourself of the power we still have. Big or small. Something you can feel. Something that proves to yourself you haven’t given up, and won’t.
I feel so much better today, and more hopeful, even if it’s guarded. And I just want to say thank you. For being here. For reading this. For helping hold the line. This community we’ve built is what keeps me going.
Our country and our world have seen dark days before. Days when evil ruled and good had to fight back. We’re in one of those times again. And we, too, will leave a mark. A mark that tells future generations, facing their own storms, that the only way out is through.
Let’s make the history books proud.
I’ll see you tomorrow,
Heather

"He speaks in riddles, lies, and fragments. And he still commands loyalty from the most dangerous people in America."
No , he does not "speak." He simply repeats the words, ad nauseam - all in the same sentence, which is not even a complete one. In short, he is just a blithering idiot.
