Pete Hegseth is a danger to our democracy and our nation because he is just as incompetent and narcissistic as his bossman. I hope the new Congress gets rid of him quickly.

Hegseth is a dangerous man. He’s as mentally ill as his boss, but, sadly, physically healthy. His liver might not be, but that’s a small point. He’s a typical alcoholic - an egomaniac with an inferiority complex.

He's a religious fanatic who believes the Lord hath chosen him to bring on ARMAGEDDON!! He belongs to a truly scary churchm

Hegseth needs to be prosecuted, convicted, and jailed. He is grossly incompetent and single handedly destroying our once great military. He has committed numerous murders and is delusional. HE is the source of all the Pentagon leaks. Unqualified to lead, disgraceful Nazi ideology, and an absolute all around jackass.

The military oath is not passive. It is also life long

“Men and women, they’re not the same thing” was my favorite Hegseth Sez quote. I’ve been wondering about that . . .

I read the statement to my husband and the look he gave me was priceless😮❗

Thank you for summarizing his screed. I cannot bear to watch the man speak. Even his body language is hostile and arrogant. It seems that he made the case not only for his own impeachment, but also for his crimes against humanity. This man dishonors our military and makes America less safe. To all active duty service members and veterans, thank you for your courage, sacrifice and service.

Glad I am no longer active duty and praying for those who are.

Thank you for your service Gayla. This is a very scary time.💙

Heather, thank you for this history lesson. I wasn't aware that army bases were named for those "who betrayed our country." Hegseth likely buried this fact because he was waiting for his own base. Alas dear Pete, grab a chair; you will be waiting centuries. Hegseth the bully wanted his army to be bulked up and so scary that no country would mess with us. Alas, his antics have enemies chuckling rather than quaking.

I'm gratefuI you suggested that Hegseth "is afraid of people who do not look like him." Thank God there are more of us and not his duplicate. Who wants his faux ferocious face?

In the end, Hegseth is just a grubby, would-be, tryrant. Trying to outdo Trump and Vance so he can skip over both to gain a nomination. But his bullying, and pull-ups impressed no one.

"His form has drawn heavy criticism from fitness experts and military standards," a search found. Add in the American public as critics. Hegseth is not fooling anyone.

So well written. First order of business, nix Hegseth.

I will forever remember Hegseth strutting back & forth on the stage in front of many high ranking officers who had been pulled away from their stations all over the world in order to sit through his speech. He thought he was quite the commander with his "FAFO." A 2nd Patton or so HE considers himself. He can't be impeached fast enough, imo.

At 74 I can't change my ways & will decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving 🦃!

As always thank you Heather.

Remember that important meeting- we were looking at the military officers in the audience looking like oh my goodness... Let me outta here or sleeping with their eyes open.SO important he is...🙄

This person (just) has no idea and cares less about what his so-called department of war has done to millions of lives in Europe and other parts of the world including Iran. Whilst having zero sympathy with the regime in Iran, we can have concern for what is in effect attempted genocide and scorched earth policies which it must be extraordinarily difficult for your military to go against especially if you are new to the military. Thank you for all you are continuing to do to educate not just folks in America but also in the wider world. It does make us all take a long hard look at what is happening in our own countries.

Pls do not interrupt him. Let him continue to incriminate himself through his own words and videos

Just like Trump, running his mouth , digging a big hole. At least we are on the path....going forward.

I had no idea that Hegseth has a drinking problem; that explains a lot. If he doesn't know that his department is actually called Department of Defense and not War or realise that your military bases are named after confederate generals then he shouldn't be in power.

I love the photo of your cat, by the way. I think you'll have to watch your Xmas decorations once they're up!

Heather, yes, I will be decorating early in honor of the new hope we feel in our country.

I think it’s ironic that Hegseth gave that crazy speech at all. Rep. Adam Smith told Aaron Parnas yesterday, Hegseth probably won’t make it through this weekend.

Thank you as always for your posts. I read you as soon as I wake up.

I want to see the back of Hegseth even more than the back of Trump! What a nasty guy he is!
