Joe Rogan just cut a deal with Trump
This week, Joe Rogan, on his podcast, called the war in Iran “terrifying.” He said Trump’s supporters feel “betrayed.” He asked, “What the f*ck are we doing?” By Saturday morning, he was standing in the Oval Office behind the President of the United States, thanking him on camera. The occasion was an executive order fast-tracking psychedelic therapy research for veterans, a policy worth pursuing on its own merits. But that is not why it happened on a Saturday morning. Standing next to Rogan was Robert O’Neill, the former Navy SEAL who less than two weeks ago went on television and said he couldn’t believe Trump’s threats against Iran were real, warned he was “teetering” on Geneva Convention violations, and urged him to “take a deep breath.” Both men stood behind the president and gave him exactly what he needed: the appearance that the critics have come home and everything is fine. That is how Trump operates. He doesn’t persuade his critics. He purchases them, not always with money, but with access, with wins, with the thing they care about most.
While the cameras rolled in the Oval Office, the world outside was falling apart. Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz again after Trump insisted on maintaining the U.S. naval blockade. The Revolutionary Guard fired on ships attempting to pass. Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One, “Maybe I won’t extend it. So you’ll have a blockade, and unfortunately, we’ll have to start dropping bombs again.”
And The Atlantic published an investigation revealing that FBI Director Kash Patel’s excessive drinking has become a recurring national security concern, with meetings pushed back because he was too impaired, and his security detail once requesting breaching equipment because he was unreachable behind a locked door. This is who is running the FBI during wartime.
But what we saw today also revealed how brittle all of it really is. Rogan stood in that room deliberately more casual than everyone else, laughed at Trump more than once, not with him but at him, and gave just enough to keep the photo useful without surrendering his leverage entirely. The loyalty Trump demands is transactional. And transactional loyalty breaks when the cost gets too high, when the public pressure becomes unbearable, when standing next to him becomes more dangerous than standing against him. We are not there yet. But we are closer than we have ever been.

I’m sorry but this is why our country is in such a mess. It’s my belief that most women CANNOT be bought off like this. This makes Rogan and O’Neill look like wusses and they are. NO BACKBONE. Don’t they recognize that they’re allowing their names and reputations to be attached to this war? REALLY? This is fucked up.
Others who didn’t think they had any “cards”, are evolving and finding that they do have cards. And they are learning how to play them, and Joe Rogan has found those cards and he’s learning how to use them. Same as President Zelenskyy, and the Pope, who has always had a full deck, and MTG, and many more. The victims are finally learning to become predators. Like Iran. And djt is about to be slowly eaten.
