At 12:42 this afternoon, the Vice President of the United States stood at the podium inside an airport hangar in Belgrade, Montana, with bleachers full of supporters behind him and a much thinner crowd of people on the floor in front of him. For nearly 30 minutes, he made racist remarks and bizarre accusations, engaged in fearmongering, complained about the weather, and shared how excited he was that a congressman had complimented his “beautiful blue eyes,” adding that the president, too, had been “noticing a lot about the physiques of everybody lately.” Then he said something he might not have meant to about the direct correlation between gas prices and Donald Trump: “They skyrocket every time some tin-pot dictator decides to throw a tantrum.”
Vance is entangled in his own weakness. He's not insane and is not stupid, but he is not a skilled politician. He had a responsibility to lead us out of Trump's chaos, but chose not to take the risk of trying that—instead, he chose to drift and let our nation and the world drift, hoping that the people would rescue us in the mid-terms by defeating Trump, and that he would not have ruined his chances to become president, which is his main goal. But his failure to lead, showing his political weakness, has ruined those chances. Perhaps he would also have failed trying to rescue us—his situation was hopeless either way. So now he is trapped into saying stupid false things, pretendng loyalty in a vain attempt to keep afloat in the sinking ship.

There will be historians writing about this time and who knows how they will decide to write the depths of what so many have experienced. These last two days volunteered at the Center preparing and feeding hundreds of people. Good conversations with many from various ages and just watching families coming in and seeing the kids excited about Halloween coming. The board members who decided to open up this gymnasium larger sized facility to expand this more into not just a Senior Center but a Community Center to assist all who are struggling from day to day. The elderly that have made new friends that they now consider family that hurry to get to breakfast and bring something special awaiting who were perfect strangers a year ago that no longer are and those families who were strangers bringing even something special themselves to give to that new elderly friend. The volunteers of suppliers that are the local farmers who have donated livestock, crops and other items that assist the expenses to keep this available.
These last two days have seen more of that “circuit breaker” being switched as Obama mentioned on Saturday. These last two days there is no longer any of those damn “red hats” that were atop many heads. Live in a very “red” area. They are all gone…. Mentioned this on Sunday since was there all day for breakfast through dinner as all of us were cleaning up at the end of the day. Then on Monday afternoon as a number of us were prepping for dinner another volunteer mentioned that they haven’t seen one of those “red hats” for close to a week on anyone’s heads. As we were talking another lady who volunteers said that her brother threw all his “red hats” out into the trash last week. She said he told her he has had enough and that Ramaswamy, Trump along with Vance and all those a-holes have gone too far and his buddies apparently agree. He also said that it’s just plain BS that Ohio was given a tax cut from paying for gas but it’s climbed over .30+ cents in less than a week… it’s now $4.40 and if that tax cut wasn’t there it would be close to $5 bucks a gallon…. He told his sister that he was sorry and hope she forgives him for being a stupid ass for close to ten years but still loving him. She just laughed as she was telling us that all humans make mistakes but told her brother that it’s about time that you did take your head out of… and start to breathe some damn fresh air.
Will those “red hats” come back who knows maybe they will, or stay in a closet and historians can use that as a reference or the individuals thought process from the head that it sat atop of.
Today is driving some people to their voting locations. Hope what a powerful motivator..
We’d all love to get back to a day where we don’t live in fear of Civil War and WW3 and waking up to the latest evil Nazi Regime events.

I think the over 50 population, Veterans, and Women are the key to this VOTE…BLUE.

Good morning Shelly first doughnut & coffee stop with these good folks… What I didn’t mention was that the other lady volunteer sent this song to her brother who threw out his “red hats” that her granddaughter who lives with her plays this tune along with a number of Jesse Welles. As she said when talking with her brother, people make mistakes and it’s good you and your friends pulled your heads out of your own… to get a breathe of fresh air.. yet it didn’t occur to you until it only affected you about gas prices… she said she loves him but as a 74 year old man you should have known better.. you have grandkids of your own. But we learn and relearn from some things we should never forget about, don’t we.. She said he agreed and admittedly called himself worse than an a-hole and is going to somehow figure out how to do better. She said vote honey, just start with voting for a change that needs to come… that’s the first step to give to our kids and grandkids.. She’s another one of the volunteers who drive other’s to their voting locations and helped with signing up new voters.. So many gray haired people comprise a village, just an fyi-the ladies are the Rosie’s the men are the Palooka’s, the only thing we all had in common was that a really close relative, both genders served in WWII… those original Antifa fighters..
