What do we do? We make certain all the Democrats and independents vote in the midterms instead of thinking their votes won’t be necessary to the count. Preaching voting, voting, voting. If you don’t want to read her essays or feel too saturated by what Trump’s regime is doing to our country and the world, then do your part in getting out the vote and reminding everyone who wants the craziness to end to vote and repeat that call over and over. The only thing I have a problem with with Heather’s columns is she lists all the horribles but she doesn’t suggest what could be done about it. I find her a drag to read, it’s just a rehash of all the shit.
My favorite statement from this piece—“So the legacy he cannot earn, he is trying to manufacture before time runs out. But this country does not belong to him.” This gives me great hope. This country does not, and never will, belong to Trump in the long run. He is like a fart that stinks a bit but eventually goes away. Our country will be Trumpless again.

One of the film’s final scenes involves a public execution staged as a monster-truck gladiator event called the "Extreme Court." At the time, it seemed hilariously over the top. But here we are 24 years later, witnessing a UFC cage match on the South Lawn, surrounded by mega grifting--merch booths, crypto promotions, kickbacks, celebrity fighters, fireworks, motorcycles, and a president who may or may not “launch a nuclear weapon as a festive personal milestone” (thank you for that one, Mary)
