On Monday, July 20, 2026, the richest and most powerful man alive sat just feet away from Zanny Minton Beddoes, The Economist's editor-in-chief. With a microphone positioned in front of him and Teslas parked directly behind him, a combative Elon Musk spoke for nearly an hour and a half inside Tesla's Gigafactory. During the interview, he insisted he was "not a racist," while at the same time refusing to say he was not anti-Muslim. He claimed that "the media is despised" even more than people hate him. But of everything he said that day, one comment stood out above all the rest. "I think I got a little too involved in politics. I got carried away, frankly."
Start a democratic election crowd funder. I am sure that many at home and abroad would donate to outsmart Elon Musk who is so venally corrupt that he needs to be locked up.
What a mess. We are so much in decline it’s impossible to deny it. We need to be 2big2rig in November and by that time he might be gone forever. Musk’s being “carried away” with USAID is perfectly stated. He should be carried away, thrown into the same wood chipper he used for USAID.
Along with Musk investments of $120 million spending to initially target Senate races in at least five states — Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan and Ohio — and is having conversations about the contests in North Carolina, Georgia and Texas. In 2026 trying to again buy an election a seat at the table in Congress from his extreme wealth. Because yes he’s readily admitted “…that if Trump didn’t win If he loses, I’m f---ed,” he said. “How long do you think my prison sentence is going to be? Will I see my children?”
Again we are here in 2026 if the Senate seats flip in Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan and Ohio — and let’s add the other states that he’s having conversations about buying off those contests in North Carolina, Georgia and Texas. Once again “Musk is F---ed!…”
Musk has also donated $5 million to a super PAC supporting Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign for governor of Ohio, according to newly released campaign finance filings.
It’s all about AI and those lovely Data Centers… The vision is Ohio having basically data centers everywhere.
Want to talk about mass deportation of those in the MAGA cult… What state do all the MAGA folks go too…
The contribution was made to Victors, Not Victims (V-PAC), the main political action committee backing Ramaswamy’s bid for the Republican nomination. It is Musk’s first direct financial contribution to the Ohio governor’s race.
Musk joins Jeff Yass, Ratmir Timashev and William Ackman among the billionaires who have supplied most of the nearly $42 million behind Vivek Ramaswamy’s run against Democrat Amy Acton.
Several of V-PAC's largest donors have direct financial stakes in matters Ohio's next governor would help decide.
Timashev has said publicly that he wants to turn Ohio into a hub for artificial intelligence — an industry built on the data centers Ramaswamy has campaigned to expand, and in which Ramaswamy himself holds investments across the sector he would regulate.
History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes quote by Twain rings truer everyday so does the poem by the German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller - First They Came…
Agree that Musk and all the billionaires may have more money but what they don’t have is “the kind of stubborn, relentless, unshakable commitment and we will not be silent” - ever….
Continue to make “Good Trouble” get it know we are tired, possibly drained to the last drop as most of us can relate to as being a parent that you’ve given it all at work, come home make dinner, do the laundry, pick up the house a bit and all you want to do is sit in a chair and veg out but we just know that’s not an option… even if you’ve never been a parent and friends want you to go out but you just want to go home and enjoy your quiet time but you change your mind and have one of the best times of your lifetime with your friends.. Find the fuel in your own personal tank, there’s always a reserve and sometimes just being around others gives you that boost…
Find that so many love this country and no amount of money can be given to buy their core values of what we can become in this nation. Honestly even some recent people who I have personally been seeing and talking with who are leaving this cult… taught for many years and found that most people are good at the core and dial into their own “WIIFM - What’s In It For Me”.. it’s not a good or bad thing it’s just humans and once we get this concept it makes sense. We change jobs because of more money, or a better balance in our lives with less money paid, or move our entire lives to an entirely different state all due to WIIFM…
Find your “Good Trouble” and the WIIFM will come. As for Ohio use your voice and vote for Dr. Amy Acton for Governor and Sherrod Brown for the Senate. Your own District US House Rep who’s voted at least 98% of the time with Trump, ask yourself are you better off now than 2 years ago and that answer will steer you towards booting out that Republican incumbent.. For the state election selections do your homework, your own research it’s easy and decide who will make your life better… ask yourself - Who will benefit me, my family, neighbors, friends in the next few years “if” they are in office..
It’s not that complicated folks..
Today is the anniversary of John Lewis’ Call to Action, published as an Op Ed in the New York Times on the day of his funeral.
He died with much hope in his heart.
“Now it is your turn to let freedom ring.” - The Good Trouble Moves On…
Thank you Shelly for pointing out the “donating” part. Totally agree that if you have the means of donating money would highly suggest to donate what you possibly could afford “directly” to the candidate. Have worked on numerous campaigns in years past and that money goes directly into their efforts to achieve the results to being elected into office. Would say that donating the time is sometimes so much more important if that’s an availability in all our busy lives. There’s only so many balls in the air that any of us can keep juggling, so get it when some are unable too. Just even going to protests or even having those quiet discussions with others move the needle.
The voting blue that many of us may bring up will agree about 99.99% of the time. Have donated and worked for one John Fetterman who has turned out as a great utter disappointment. Yet the other selection wasn’t even an option at the time, which was Dr. Mehmet Oz. Which we all are aware is a bona fide quack and sycophant to that Felon.
Bottom line it’s all good to back them in their campaign but it doesn’t stop there it’s holding them all accountable if and when they get that seat at the table. The WIIFM for us all doesn’t stop at the end of the election it carries on throughout their seat at the table. Sometimes this is what we all miss.
Going to call and visit more in this area of Ohio to see what and where they are landing and feeling about their selection of the governor house, Senate seat and even their House rep as well as those local selections. May not get all two selections for federal representation in both houses of Congress but every bit helps. As for the state that’s sometimes unfortunately an up hill battle, the money Musk and those billionaires in AI and data centers that gave to Ramaswamy is monumental but heck we all like a challenge…
If Musk is getting involved in the midterms it’s not just money he’ll be providing. His “tech services” are what won the election for Trump. The money was just a cover.
His mega millions are dangerous to the election but his rigging the numbers at the polls through technology is something we cannot control....like last election.
Don’t forget Musk had a major role in deciding the 2024 elections. He is a genius at manipulating data, and there are many questions surrounding the results. This is where the danger lies.
When the people of our country finally wrest control of our government from the tyranny of wealthy Republicans and Democrats, one if the first things we must do is forever cap political donations from ANY source and completely ban ALL political action committees (PACs). I don't know what that cap should be, but it must be low enough that no one individual, group, or company can substantially influence election outcomes or governmental decisions.
Heather-first of all, I’m glad your daughters surgery went well and that she’s home. Thank you again for your message. I have a question. I agree and want to donate -but where? I get texts from various organizations, but who is legit and where would my money be best used?
First, I knew nothing about the 17th Amendment and its ramifications until I read this post. I think I'm a supposedly well-educated person with a master's degree from liberal arts colleges. It scares me to think of what I have not been taught, about what most of us may have not been taught. There is so much of our history that has been glossed over. It is time to illuminate our history rather than repress it --- or rewrite it. As for Musk and all the other oligarchs, I would hope that people of good will won't follow the money but instead vote for representatives who are attempting to assist all of us. Look around you and evaluate what you really want this country to look like. And VOTE!
Where is Law Enforcement? Where is the FBI, NSA, Washington,DC police, state police, US MARSHALS, and others who are ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT?
Why has Musk not been arrested and charged?
Why has Trump not been arrested and charged for his myriad illegal schemes to raise money FOR HIMSELF AND HIS FRIENDS by releasing insider info on public companies up for govt contracts that he, his sons and other family members, Pam Bondi and other administration officials used to enrich themselves?
This is public knowledge and the information for preparing criminal arrest warrants has been reported in newspapers, on TV programs, and other investigative organizations like Publica.
These people are criminals, committing crimes openly! Why is there NO POLICE OR LAW ENFORCEMENT ANYWHERE arresting these people?!
Laws unenforced are NOT LAWS. What if 20 million Americans decided not to pay taxes? What if 20 million Americans descended on Washington…armed to the teeth…and took Trump and everyone in his administration prisoner? And refused to release them until a Court issued bench warrants for their arrests and temporary incarceration until trial?
That wouldn’t be legal either…but so what?!!??!? It’s time to start shooting back…that is, to fight fire with fire. Our country is at stake!!
I want Trump & Co arrested and imprisoned now…today!!! I demand it be done! It’s time to start shooting back!
This next election, thanks to Trump's insanity, stupidity and conspicuous corruption, will be decided by values, not dollars.
Start a democratic election crowd funder. I am sure that many at home and abroad would donate to outsmart Elon Musk who is so venally corrupt that he needs to be locked up.

You’re right, TJ….time for all of us to go to the window and yell, “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!”
Absolutely.. love that movie…
Definitely time for “Good Trouble,” TJ!
I also want to mention what you and Lance Rosen pointed out…DONATE DIRECTLY to YOUR CANDIDATE…the USELESS DNC has put itself in MILLIONS in DEBT…

We have to get people out to VOTE BLUE and make it a LANDSLIDE.
They are planning on fighting EVERYTHING they lose.

Stay safe and healthy..
It’s a lot, in general.
I get exactly about the vote blue and BeneDickt Fetterman.
We have our own with trump’s Jarod Golden boy…keeps voting like Fetterman. It’s horrible.
Golden is not running again and claims for family.
The truth is, he barely eked by with ranked choice voting, his last run and has basically lost all of his supporters.
Musk is downright nasty.
Imagine being that stinking rich, and all you can be is nasty.
Fuck off to Mars Elroy, you'll like it there. Promise.
If Musk is getting involved in the midterms it’s not just money he’ll be providing. His “tech services” are what won the election for Trump. The money was just a cover.
This makes me sick. The Citizens United ruling was the undoing of American Democracy as the forefathers planned.
His mega millions are dangerous to the election but his rigging the numbers at the polls through technology is something we cannot control....like last election.

I look at his cars with contempt, and him as a despicable representation of a human being. Not much to like.
$120,000,000 sounds like a lot of money... but when you are a trillionaire it is chump change...
