At 5 a.m. this morning, an interview Donald Trump was apparently warned not to give went live for the entire world to see. “A lot of people said, ‘Don’t do this interview,’” he admitted. Within minutes, we understood exactly why he was advised not to give it. The President of the United States is consumed with building monuments across Washington, the bigger, the gaudier, the better. He is obsessed with making sure as many things as possible are left behind when he is gone, going so far as to admit that when confronted with the accusation that he is quite literally building monuments to himself, Trump didn’t deny it. He agreed. “That’s true,” he said. “Nobody will do it once I’m gone. When I leave here, nobody will.”
The interview, published by New York Magazine and written by Ben Terris, showed a Donald Trump who did not appear particularly concerned about how anyone would interpret what he was saying. What quickly became obvious was how focused the president was on everything but actually carrying out the duties of the presidency. How, instead of focusing on the mounting crises facing the country, he wasn’t shy about his plan to make as many things as possible bear his name and, in some cases, his image, whether the country wants it or not.
Heather it's not surprising you're still feeling a bit shaken after what happened in your neighbourhood the other day. I hope things settle down.for your family.
You know, any time the narcissistic psychopath starts a sentence with Sir, you just know that he's making it all up, just like the time he said he had stopped 10 wars (or was the number higher?)
You know I still have a foreboding that in the run up to the November mid elections Trump will find a reason to disrupt the elections. I hope I'm wrong.
Janet, I believe we should all expect the fascist felon to do everything he can to disrupt or sabotage the mid-terms. That is why we must assure the turn-out is overwhelming. Blue state governors must mobilize their own forces to counter the ICE thugs who are bound to be dispatched to all polling places in the blue states. Let's face it, it's all going to get rather ugly. Everyone has had ample time to see that the MAGA crowd does not play by the rules. They are desperate and they can fully be expected to do desperate things.
Keep up the great work Heather so more and more Americans realise just how important their vote will be this November. Every vote can make the difference!
I need to take a walk on the beach too! We’re all exhausted, but we need to keep educating others and holding onto hope. Thank you, Heather, for your tireless work.
It isn't just his vanity that will bring about his Fall, it's his non-beingness and all his cumulative bad karma from all his lifetimes. Trump is quite simply a bad apple in the barrel spoiling all the other apples, not that those other apples are not already spoiled. Everyone around Trump is spoiled, rotten, corrupt, evil to the core (pun intended). Janet's "foreboding" about Trump is real. January 6th for him was a test and he almost succeeded. It's different now. He may declare some bogus national emergency to get the military out to the polling places in clear violation of the states sole right to administer their election process. Think January 6th on steroids. He is up to absolute no good. He knows we have more votes than MAGA. The easiest way to steal the election is to stop it from happening to begin with. As Commander in chief he may order in the military to quell the fake whatever he conjures up that needs to be put down. The unemployment numbers today are bullshit. It's all a lie. The post office coup was planned years ago. The court stopped that one but Trump may still suppress the vote by not sending out the ballots. He cannot be trusted for anything. He is the "father of lies." John 8:44. Remember who that is. The same dude who tempted Jesus in the desert. Jesus knew earthly riches had no value. They are part of the illusion Trump is so blinded by. Whatever he builds as a monument to himself must be torn down. Nothing should be left to remind us what a failure of a human being he is.
Heather, you wrote: "The MAGA movement has never been shy about wearing its beliefs and loyalty in the form of red hats and Trump merchandise. They follow the assigned talking points and never question their leader. In the past, they would have been worried and scared to show their ugly views to their neighbors and the world. Now they wear them like a badge, and it is time for us to flip that." You also mentioned inserting your own messages into other people's complaints or observations. Let me insert this, and you've heard it before, you can't spell "red hat" without the same letters for "hatred."
Heather, I love your tactic of pointing out the direct consequences of rump's illegalities. I have been responding, "Sorry, I don't speak pedophile" (thanks to a meme I saw) whenever someone makes the mistake of defending rump around me.
