Early this morning, dressed entirely in black except for a pair of crisp white golf shoes, the President of the United States walked slowly through the rain to tour his latest construction project: a public golf course. Standing between him and the cameras during this presidential "executive" time was a member of his heavily armed security detail, watching over as the president reviewed architectural renderings, discussed renovations, and oversaw yet another taxpayer-funded vanity project.
From there, his grand tour of Washington, D.C., continued from one renovation project to the next. After inspecting plans at East Potomac Golf Links, his motorcade eventually made a stop at nearby Lafayette Square, where reports say that he personally inspected trees and made demands to have exactly 47 of his favorite maple trees planted to commemorate himself.
The 48th president will be busy, ripping up all the concrete, all the monuments to venal graft, all the plants in the government agencies, every trace of this abomination. It will take all of the first 4 years to accomplish.
Paid for by the fines levied on all those flying monkeys that have enabled this monstrous conman.
Maybe...he is laying the groundwork with voter suppression to stop that happening. We have to overcome all that, undue all the corruption to agencies, etc..and push through a major reform of SCOTUS with as many as 27 Supreme Court judges.
I think he has found his own preferred level of engagement. He can’t do President; he doesn’t know what to do with the most powerful military in the world; but he can be the estate manager. There is nothing wrong with being an estate manager, but it is not the job he was elected to do.
Would that “estate manager” was the only thing he was elected to do. No wars. No tariffs. No appointing right wing zealots to lifelong judgeships. No emolumenting himself and his filthy family and best buddies into untold wealth. Ugh. I’m sick at heart by what this jerk is getting away with. 🤮🤮🤮

I bet there are more like bringing down the wrath of god, or sending in the locusts to destroy maple trees, or failing tests of sacrificing sons. I imagine any of these would apply, any of the plagues and angry god moves.
I want to know where he's getting the money for all these vanity projects. Congress is supposed to be the only entity that can authorize expenditure of funds, but Congress is becoming famous for doing nothing (well, except pass one good bill on housing, which, predicably, the felon refused to sign).
So where is the money coming from? Does he just call smug, arrogant Bessent and order up a delivery of $100 million in large denominations? Or does he just send all the bills to Treasury and instruct good old Scott to pay them?
Isn't there any way to just trun off the flow of money on unapproved, unpermitted, probably illegal multi-million dollar vanity projects? Or is this just one more thing the spineless, complicit Republicans need to answer for?
With regard to the park expenditures, Twump (and Burgum, his new bestie) has diverted hundreds of millions of dollars from the National Park Service to pay for the pool, trees. Aa a result, the parks are understaffed, underfunded and having a bad summer.
I find it amazing that Trump was able to check out the golf course in the rain but couldn't attend the ceremony (also in the rain) to pay tribute to soldiers who lost their lives in sacrifice for our country!
Has Trump actually passed any new laws that help his country. He seems to have taken away huge swathes of country help but given back nothing except monuments to himself.

I share your horror at the blatant corruption and the insolence of this criminal administration, the damage being done to so many people in the name of narcissism and cruelty while so many people are harmed and so many others look away. This cannot stand, and we must rise up and stop it. There is nobody else coming to our aid. The really, really sad thing about the East Potomac course is it was being refurbished as a community project with top end course designers (who's boots Fazio isn't fit to lick) working pro bono.

So I’ve been combing through all the emails and texts I’ve been receiving from candidates asking for help, people putting their heart into this, not for themselves, but because they want to make a difference. I’ve given, maybe not a lot, but something, to virtually every one of them. We have to take a stand before it’s too late, and there’s not much time left to stop the madness.
