Donald Trump's past is catching up with him

The President of the United States posted a racist, unhinged rant on Truth Social, attacking two sitting members of Congress, both women of color, telling them they should be “sent back from where they came,” calling them “LUNATICS” who should be “institutionalized,” and going after Robert De Niro and Rosie O’Donnell for good measure. But this wasn’t just rage for the sake of rage. It was a calculated deflection from the moment that truly rattled him: Rashida Tlaib standing on the House floor during the State of the Union and shouting six words that shook him to his core, “How about those Epstein files?”

And those files are closing in. NPR published the results of a major investigation revealing that the Department of Justice has withheld and removed Epstein files directly connected to allegations that Donald Trump sexually abused a child. The FBI interviewed the accuser four times, but only one of those interviews was ever made public, and a more than 50-page gap exists in the released documents, all tied to allegations involving Trump. A second accuser described being brought to Mar-a-Lago as a minor while being trafficked by Epstein. Documents were quietly removed from the DOJ’s public database and only partially restored. If the President is innocent, the path is simple: release everything. But instead, the most powerful law enforcement agency in the country appears to be hiding evidence to protect the man in charge of it.
