At 1:44 p.m. this afternoon, the cameras went live, and the world instantly saw the 18 women and two men who had been packed into the Oval Office directly behind the President of the United States, who was sitting and staring off into space with a confused look in every direction. As he sat there, shoulders slumped forward in his tall leather chair, he stared off past the reporters, seemingly unaware that everyone was waiting for him to begin. Seconds later, like a light switch had been flipped, the president came to life, and he began to read his remarks line by line from his three-ring binder.
The 56-minute event was supposed to be about the signing of an executive order establishing the President's Military Spouse Commission, but instead, with military family members packed in behind him, he spent just 14 minutes discussing the commission, followed by 42 minutes on long tirades that had nothing to do with why everyone was gathered there today. He declared that, "I know Europe better than anybody, better than the people that run it." He went on a strange rant about trees in “blue cities,” saying, "Their trees are all gross." And then, apparently thinking he was being thoughtful and cautious about Iran, he said, "I want to give them every last chance before decapitation."
Oh, Heather! This was your genius: “Donald Trump, in no uncertain terms, is the least-knowledgeable person at every table he sits at.” Ironic, isn’t it—genius and ignoramus?!
I feel you should take note of this use of the word "communist" being thrown around by the Republicans right now. It's neither random nor ill-considered but a crafted attitude. It DOES go back to early McCarthyism but to a case where American Communists were arrested, tried and convicted not for what they did, or what they planned to do but for what they MIGHT do BECAUSE of their beliefs. What with all the time he spends on Truth Social and playing golf he hardly has the time to concentrate on running his country.

Much of the Defense data and internal government communication infrastructure are being systematically stripped of American-made components.
The European Parliament halted the ratification of previous U.S.-EU framework agreements in protest of new American tariff policies. The European Commission is orchestrating swift, coordinated tariffs targeting U.S. goods to directly leverage reciprocal trade pressure.
So basically most of Europe doesn’t like him, they don’t trust him, and have moved on and view the United States as an old friend that they no longer call and at this point probably will not call for many years.
Maybe the most honest of responses from a person in Europe was from a woman at the age of 72 who was asked about Trump and the United States, was this, “We have a longer memory I think here in Europe. We had fascists overtaking our countries, the United States didn’t. We here know a fascist when we see one. So no thanks.”
It will be a different world where the U.S. is now cast out of the group, as the old friend that nobody any longer wants to even hangout with or even to be around. It will be shock to some in the U.S. that for years, even decades that we were once the bell of the ball, the best of a companion. Now we may be lucky if we even get an invitation to the ball. Damn that huge, golden grotesque opulent ballroom he wants to build may be empty on average 85% of the time to receive any European visitors. Maybe in years to come it will be turned into a bowling alley, putt-putt, roller rink, laser tag complex or multiple movie theatre’s that the new administration will need to rent out to help with the national debt that he left, or just literally the money he stole from the treasury vaults.
Guess there is always North Korea and possibly Russia that may use that ballroom while he may be around in those few years.
