I am in the Netherlands and I am wondering this too already for some time: how do you reach people who don't read these daily posts / don't realize how bad and corrupt this administration is? It may not be a popular idea but I hope that the economic situation in the USA will not improve before the midterms, better get even worse. Many MAGA/Trump voters will not be so sensitive for reflections on constitutional rights, the lies and corruption etc. but they will remember promises made on cost of living. "It's the economy stupid" makes the difference this time again (I think).

I let this remark sink in for a moment. I think that many of Trump's followers are not that interested in all the nonsense and lies he spouts. Was up early yesterday morning, read and listened to the BBC interview with Hunter Biden. Hearing the news that President Joe Biden’s cancer has metastasized. Then the next article was that the Senate confirmed Blanche by a vote of 50-49 all Republicans voted for his confirmation with the exception of two Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. The reason for getting up early was in preparation of a protest, march in our small town in rural Ohio for Women’s Rights. Ensuring that our voices are heard on this abomination of this SAVE Act and that an entire political body has turned their back on sexual assault victims, and assault victims.
As a female am honored to stand on the shoulders of my own ancestors who fought for their rights, to vote and use their voice to cast a ballot for the persons they thought would uphold their rights, the Constitution, the policies or changes that this federal, state and local governments have campaigned and tried to change and implement once in office, to select those that would benefit all, not just some of the people.
On the drive into the town that the protest was being held, had to pull over and just cried, one of those ugly snotty cries that no amount of tissues can hold the amount of fluids coming out of one’s face. If you’ve ever been around anyone or yourself who has been diagnosed with cancer may get that feeling, and the feeling of just blatant betrayal. Then the anger, frustration the determination just starts out like lava coming from the earths core.
Thoughts that this country has cancer and has metastasized due to one entity, that others attached themselves to in creation of MAGA. There may be 30% of this nation, this body, this nation that the cancer has infected so far that it tries daily to infect the other 70% continuously. It’s been going on for over ten years, cancer is sometimes a slow disease, sometimes it’s not. Even after Jan 6 that the cancer could finally be put to rest but those cells that had attached themselves to that entity didn’t want to die. That even with all the policies, small changes to large that Biden and Harris tried to inject into our nation, across the world those cancer cells didn’t want to have anything to do with it, to becoming healed, bring some decency, some goodness and healing even after a global pandemic and gosh darn it infrastructure week was finally happening and some benefits were given to us all in healthcare costs. Have heard some begrudgingly bring up that we wouldn’t be here if Joe had stepped down earlier, that IMO is for them to deal with their own thoughts, saw Joe believing, thinking and feeling he had more to give but time has a way of catching up and not going to beat that dead horse anymore than it’s already been beaten.
What did see was those cells accumulating into that cancer to rear its ugly head, the cruelty of spreading and taking power and wealth from all, not just the 70% that were fighting against this disease but the 30% cheering on from the sidelines who in their own ways of cruelty thought only about egg prices being reduced, locking up and deporting brown people and “owning the libs” was going to be their salvation.
Looking at the candidates that this MAGA/Republican group have to offer the people in their selections come November should clearly show that it’s always about the power, the need for more wealth, and yes the cruelty is the aim, the cancer wants to spread. They want to take away the people who give birth to all individuals in this nation their right to vote their opposition to this cancer. They told ever victim of assault, sexual assault, rape that they do not give a shit about you, especially the Epstein victims when confirming Blanche. They told the law enforcement in this entire nation that they don’t give a shit about you, because those who beat a police officer to a bloody pulp with a fire extinguisher can be pardoned and gain financially with possibly a million dollars in their bank accounts. They told all of us that the law is different for that client of Blanche’s that what he wants will always be the first and foremost the most important aspect of Blanche’s job as AG, basically a huge middle finger being displayed from this entire regime if it hasn’t already done so. The money, power and the cruelty is the point and if you haven’t already realized it, then you may be what’s considered a slow learner. No one will be spared, not a single one other than that entity that all just attached themselves too. For some reason mail-in ballots have not been susceptible to manipulation either perhaps explaining why Trump wants to ban them. Looking at the candidates that this MAGA/Republican group have to offer the people in their selections come November should clearly show that it’s always about the power, the need for more wealth, and yes the cruelty is the aim, the cancer wants to spread. They want to take away the people who give birth to all individuals in this nation their right to vote their opposition to this cancer. They told ever victim of assault, sexual assault, rape that they do not give a shit about you, especially the Epstein victims when confirming Blanche. They told the law enforcement in this entire nation that they don’t give a shit about you, because those who beat a police officer to a bloody pulp with a fire extinguisher can be pardoned and gain financially with possibly a million dollars in their bank accounts. They told all of us that the law is different for that client of Blanche’s that what he wants will always be the first and foremost the most important aspect of Blanche’s job as AG, basically a huge middle finger being displayed from this entire regime if it hasn’t already done so. The money, power and the cruelty is the point and if you haven’t already realized it, then you may be what’s considered a slow learner. No one will be spared, not a single one other than that entity that all just attached themselves too. Ask the ones who have lost everything after the first go around like Giuliani and a number of others. The stink still rises of that decay of cancer.

Know that Trump will do everything in his vast power to disrupt, corrupt and manipulate the midterm elections. He must corrupt the midterms to keep Republicans in control of the House and Senate to complete his authoritarian takeover and protect himself and his cronies.
There are three vectors from which Trump can attack the elections. The first occurs before the election. It is voter suppression; gerrymandering, voter roll purges, attacks on mail-in ballots, reduction of the number of polling places, number of days in which to vote in advance, elimination of voter drop boxes, etc. The second is direct action on or directly after election day. They may include stationing of federal government uniformed forces at or near polling places, declaring some kind of national emergency, seizing ballots and voting records, arresting local voting officials, etc. The third is the most insidious and hardest to detect and combat. That is vote manipulation. It can be done by introducing malicious code into election software to manipulate the vote count to favor Republicans in critical districts and precincts.
There are methods to combat each of these threat vectors. Election attorneys and public interest groups are doing well-publicized yeoman work to fight in court every move Trump makes. The defense against direct threats on and after election day must be gamed out and planned for now by state and local officials. Polling places must be physically secured and protected without being intrusive. The ballot chain of custody must be protected at all costs. Governors must plan now to deploy state forces to prevent Trump from seizing ballots We voters must turn out in overwhelming numbers to vote for Democrats. The people who have studied vote manipulation have found that in past elections it appears not to work when there is a large difference in the vote count between candidates. For some reason mail-in ballots have not been susceptible to manipulation either perhaps explaining why Trump wants to ban them. Finally, this election Democrats must challenge improbable Republican wins by demanding hand recounts, something they have been loathe to do in the past. That is why governors must protect the chain of custody. If that's lost no winners can be certifiably determined.
