At 3:13 this afternoon, Donald Trump walked onto the stage in Medora, North Dakota, having arrived in the small western town after flying into Bismarck on his inaugural ride aboard the 400 million dollar retrofitted Qatari jet that now serves as Air Force One. His signature song, Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA," blasted through the speakers as he fist-pumped to the crowd, taking breaks every few steps before continuing toward the podium. Behind him stood men dressed up in Rough Rider reenactment costumes, with matching blue chambray shirts and cowboy hats. The presidential seal hung from the podium. An American flag waved nearby. Just beyond the stage sat...
I can only imagine the level of fury and frustration of every living President at this daily shredding of everything good and safe they put in place .
The insanity and corruption that has become the norm and shamed America. The solution is in the hands and hearts of that 60%+ of ordinary Americans. Please, for the sake of future generations of this amazing and wonderful planet, get him out !
Thank you Heather. Saw some of his ramblings in North Dakota, it’s very disturbing to watch or even try to really listen to what he says. There’s the usual vitriol that he unleashes as per his norm but as he decided to throw in some additional comments they continued to draw a surprised reaction from the crowd. The biggest one was that unusual comment about awarding the nation’s highest military honor to himself and his two eldest sons… there was an audible groan or moan that went through the crowd, He had to quickly clarify that he was joking, but the comment didn’t go over at all and his clarification was really awkward and was not met well among the crowd. They all were there for Theodore Roosevelt, not him and as he meandered on could tell that the crowd was not pleased, either bored or beginning to wonder when he was going to exit stage right.
It appeared just as that Great American State Fair going on in DC not too many willing to show up and the ones who did weren’t too happy they decided to go.
Throughout our nations history there are lows that emerge as better times. All regimes fall, this one will also. Hopefully it will not take as long as in our current times as it did for Hungary. Hope, work and be involved, vote.

It’s just not Trump, Miller, Hegseth the list goes on from his regime that the Senate approved. It’s also the Senators that did approve all of them as appointees. They knew that oppression was on the horizon. They knew cruelty would be inflicted. Then there’s the House of Representatives. I often laugh when thinking or speaking of those three words “House of Representatives” who exactly do they represent? Is it the ones in the masses of people who may have elected them who want to be the oppressor and unleash their own kind of cruelty and negate the ones, that I truly believe are in fact the many that are the good people. Find you can’t silence good people for long, even if they started out as the ones who aligned at starting out as being cruel or wanting to oppress another. I’ll dip my toe into the Fox propaganda and cringe at their verbiage of explanation, excuse giving, watching them contort into a salty pretzel, over all his behaviors and wonder how far gone does one need to be to negate your own eyes and ears while sitting at a table in front of a scarcely populated dumpster fire of a State Fair. They did it on Jan 6th and got sued for all the lies they carried the bucket for him. But the individuals didn’t loose anything just the network and they wrote a check for $790 million dollars and didn’t bat an eye and carried on with the same lies of carrying the corruption, oppression and cruelty. In fact some spanned out more with other networks that popped up, hosts decided to do their own podcasts to generate more fury into the ether and attained some silence because so few decided to come out to vote in 2024. The silent decided to sit this one out.
Maybe I’m just tired of all of this vitriol, this constant dumping as Senator Chris Murphy compared it to the “pitter patter of rain that it becomes normal” — This is not normal…. And scream this often in my mind and even on those morning walks watching the sunrise bringing in a new day. Hoping that today the silence of the good in people will arise against all the bad people in this regime doing their own speciality of cruelty and oppression. Maybe all in this nation those good people will rise against our Congress and possibly their neighbor and say “Enough!” Maybe this is how I will celebrate this July 4th because there are more good people who may no longer decide to be silent….

One of the reasons I didn't want him to win was I didn't want him in charge for the 250th. Back then it was just a petty thought. Turns out it's way worse than I ever imagined.
He told the crowd that communism is “the biggest threat to our country, including World War I, World War II, Pearl Harbor, September 11th.” Beyond the racist ramblings, threats, and self-promotion, Trump does not understand or know history. Even basic history. The cause of most wars is a combination of militarism, a rigidity of alliances, ideology, imperialism, and nationalism. You would be hard pressed to find ideological “communism” being part of the known history of those listed events. No mention of Vietnam? Memories of his battle with draft dodging foot problems and STD’s?
That aside. The leaders of those who started these conflicts dead, some at their own hands. History flowing not towards restrictive forms of centrally controlled governance but towards the principles of people solving their mutual concerns through collaboration, cooperation, self-governance, and relative freedom. Those lessons are hard learned. Repeated by those who forget and do not learn. This is where we are today. This is where Trump and his so-called administration are right now. Vote. Oppose this current corruptive, nonsensical, self-destructive, incompetent, and absurd regime.
