At just one minute and thirty seconds long, it played eerie and unsettling music as it jumped from scene to scene. Bombs falling on targets below. Soldiers storming beaches. Rockets launching into the sky. Military vehicles erupting into flames. Trump declared, “The Warrior Ethos is BACK.” All while promoting the message of "Peace Through Strength."
I , and many others here in the UK , are watching open mouthed with disbelief. We imagine what would happen if our Prime Minister were to suddenly go mad and do something like this in front of our House of Parliament in Westminster !
The repercussions from the government and the people would be so fast and so strong his head would spin , he would be out of office straight away for that, not even adding all the ghastly things this man has done. We have great affection for you chaps but how on God's good earth are so many of you letting this happen ? Republicans need to hang their heads and hide once he is gone, much as Nazi collaborators did after WW2.
Simply put, we have a Republican Party that has conflated capitalism as being a form of governance rather than an economic system that needs to be governed.
Conservatives celebrated the rise of Trump as a literal savior for the wealthy, assuring that small portion of America that they have no responsibility other than to themselves. However, they created a Caligula and are now scrambling to control it. And they cannot.

Removing Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center might just be symbolic of a national realization that the “general welfare” in the Preamble is an actual, attainable goal.
