At 1:01 this afternoon, the cameras inside the Oval Office turned on just in time to see Donald Trump slouched in his seat behind the Resolute Desk, staring off into the distance, already checked out, heavy-eyed, with one side of his mouth drooping. Seconds later, he snapped back to reality and started reading from a binder of papers that had been placed right in front of him. Over the course of the next hour, Donald Trump managed to disgrace the office of the presidency multiple times as he made one outrageous statement after another, including his claim that he should win the Nobel Peace Prize because he had “stopped the total obliteration of the world."
That was just the beginning. He shared his excitement that today was one of his dictator friends' birthdays, and he asked a reporter if he was going to celebrate. “Today is Vladimir Putin's birthday. I'm sure you're going to celebrate it. Are you going to celebrate his birthday?”
I unfortunately watched much of this conference. It was as brutal in all regards as Heather reports. Why Trump isn't already in a dementia care nursing home is beyond anyone with a lick of sense.
Also, many doctors have said he also most likely suffers from long term, untreated Syphilis. All of those things together plus any other health issues would add to all of his insane behaviors and health issues.

But I’ll always support Jeff Tiedrich, Jay Kuo, Scott Dworkin, Joyce Vance, Heather Cox Richardson, and Heather Delaney Reese. IFLA is funny. I like that too but don’t read it every day. And the God Show is funny. I firmly believe we need humor to handle this regime. So I’m not sure if I can add Lance Rosen because I’m already spending three hours on my phone every morning, and still can’t keep up. But I’ll keep it in mind. Hey, you’re from Maine! I just went to a wedding there in late September (I live in Pennsylvania but have cousins in Maine). They planned it for outdoors in the afternoon but had to move it inside to Watts Hall in Thomaston due to the impending nor’easter, which then didn’t really materialize.

Here’s one from Lance on BeneDickt Fetterman…lots of snark and word play. I have nothing to gain from him, but admire his lifelong work. I have been following him I think about a year. But the other cool thing is he engages in conversations and encourages comments. He still does a lot of that on Facebook for now, but also on his Substack.
He has a lot of contacts and hell bent on saving our Democracy and lives.
He just wrote this morning his articles on Substack are still free, but he is getting so many trolls now that his audience has grown he has decided to paywall for comments.
But, I don’t know if you go on Facebook at all, but you’ll see great discussions. He also warned about trump before his first term, and warned about Jan.6, 2021, but…politics.
Anyway, I hope you check him out. I promise he’s worth checking out!

So here is a repugnant creature who has had access to the best medical care all his life (even if he didn’t avail himself of it) possibly with untreated syphilis and his doctors haven’t treated it? Did he refuse treatment? Can a patient refuse treatment for a disease that is so communicable and what about his wives and the women he raped? His children? Have they been tested?

Although her interests naturally lie with all things 12-year-old, my granddaughter is also learning that it’s important to pay attention to the fact that trump is not an authority figure to be trusted. Her parents and I are making sure she is aware of the general outlines of his demagoguery. The image of young children used as props is riveting for me. This isn’t the first time children have been spruced up, lined up, and displayed in this horrifyingly objectified manner. They get positioned in the frame and “frozen” in place. I’ve noticed other moments when these puppets youngsters turn voiceless towards their parents with expressions bordering on big icky. WTH
