At 1:47 this afternoon, during one of the most anticipated meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, Donald Trump sat beside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, wearing an oversized suit that hung and bunched awkwardly while cameras from all over the world broadcast the moment live.
The meeting was supposed to focus on ending the war in Ukraine, and their press conference was the opportunity to talk about how they planned to get there. But instead of giving Zelenskyy the opportunity to speak, Donald Trump commandeered nearly the entire 8+ minute discussion. After Zelenskyy quickly gave his opening remarks, Donald Trump did not allow President Zelenskyy to say another word.
This is SO shocking, shameful and embarrassing for America! It is unbelievable that the Republicans in Congress can still allow this ridiculousness to pass! Aren’t they embarrassed too? As you say, Heather, the rest of the world looks on in horror.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall of one of the more enlightened nations groups where they’re taking pool bets on when Trump is going to either have a stroke or get called on the 25th Amendment, or walk into some lone wolf’s bullet, or otherwise be out of everyone’s misery. I can see the calendar getting filled as heads and delegates of all these nations throw in a pile of bills of all colors…. 😂😂😂
How great would it be if EVERYONE in the room would get up and walk out, leaving Trump all alone in the room? It'd look like that great scene near the end of the 1956 movie 'Giant', where James Dean as the drunken Jett Rink is left alone at the podium, speaking out to an empty room. Trump needs to be ostracized, with no one speaking to him or being in his presence, ever again, except for his corrupt family and the grifters and sycophants that surreound him. I think many of his present supporters and sycophants would grow more and more disgusted with him, and would begin to call him out in ever-increasing numbers, until he is completely marginalized,
The oversized suit: it either hides an assortment of medical gear to keep him going, or it is the result of too many big macs and diet coke. And the diapers dispenser of course! 😄
Look, I just don’t get this. The leader of powerful nation just gets up in front of a national assembly and says he’s going to wipe out another nation over an issue that I thought that assembly was set up to resolve i.e. conflicts between member states. If it was functioning properly, I thought a person who made such an outrageous statement would be arrested immediately by the United Nations security police either. charged with planning an international war crime or taken away to a secure facility where he gets the psychiatric treatment he needs but much to my amazement we just go onto the next speaker,
What irony! Trump attacked Iran to prevent them from building nuclear weapons when it turns out the biggest nuclear threat to the world is Trump himself. It's inconceivable that the Trump regime is considering the use of nuclear weapons and is ginning up a protocol and legal rationale to justify their use in a first strike.
Every day we spend dragging toward the mid-terms further discredits the enablers around him who have decided to let others, ultimately the voters, put an end to this ordeal they are putting us all through, forcing us and the rest of the world to suffer. Vance is the chief culprit and deserves the greatest blame. He will have no credit left on which to try to recover our government. His strategy is hopeless, his future is doomed.
What difference will it make to voting in Texas that 90 voting stations have been closed. Could this be declared as vote rigging ?
