The president's public meltdown began when he posted his disappointment with one of his appointees, “I don’t know what she was thinking?” before he jumped straight into more delusional and dangerous images. Among the flood of posts, he shared an AI-generated image of himself kissing Jesus on a golden crucifix. He shared a "TRUMP 2028" campaign poster, a fake image of himself walking beside a handcuffed alien on a military base, and a renewed threat to invade Greenland. He didn’t stop there.
Thanks for the reminder of how much rides on this election and for the hope that lies therein. I think some Americans can ignore, forget, deny, just plain don’t care…whatever, the suffering that has affected those far beyond our borders. Yet I gotta believe most Americans are painfully aware of the importance of this November. And we will vote.

Post 9/11 (facility security, where things can go boom) and with industrial safety culture taking a role (liability, safe behaviors, employee health and well-being, etc.), these background checks are performed ANNUALLY, required both by clients and employers as part of continuing employment. Random drug tests are required for all personnel entering or working in a plant.
These background checks are performed by a couple of certified agencies, and include standard name/address/employment data, along with financial obligations, legal actions-criminal and civil, and traffic violations, etc. The only thing they did not do was interviews with friends, relatives, and acquaintances (which occur with more intensive jobs involving government security requirements).
Today, at least for the jobs I was associated with, all of the statistics for employers (and employees) are part of OSHA (and NIOSH) record keeping providing scores used for liability and insurance purposes, along with “know your supplier” and “know your customer” records. At the employee level, actionable flags for monitoring, discipline or termination, include certain legal actions (court actions involving violence or weapons and DUI come to mind) and/or a failed random drug test -- including THC in states where THC is legal outside of this employment requirement. All in the name of corporate liability, safety, employee and employer security. If a sales representative is subjected to this type of scrutiny certainly other positions of leadership and law enforcement (ICE, and DHS), are subjected to even higher standards of pre-employment and continuous employment background monitoring? This is a question. Because it obviously is not the observable case.
