Hello from dismayed UK😢 I have had the privilege of working with Americans throughout my career. I am proud to have Americans as my friends . We have enjoyed many holidays in many parts of America. We encounter happy ‘Americans Abroad’ wherever we go in the world. I trust Americans! I can’t believe that one pirate and his subservient followers are being allowed to destroy what America is . Sadly, I can imagine the final conclusion to this spiral downward being when young , non-gorilla -warfare-experienced Americans die trying to destroy Iran’s oil economy . Iran has had tens of years to prepare for such a futile undertaking. And ninety million Iran innocents would share that misery. Where is sanity - certainly not around that table ! Not only exceptional. Heather is also courageous. It's dangerous to write as she does, but she writes anyway, loudly and correctly and often. It's scaring her, but she writes on. She inspires courage in me. I wasn't going to attend my local No Kings Rally. Now I am. That won't be exactly easy for me. I'm 86 years old, born in 1939, of parents who were the children of The Greatest Generation, and my grandparents are the people who raised The Greatest Generation. I can walk. I'm a little wobbly now, but I have a sturdy cane my daughters got for me at a RenFair, and I can walk a fair distance. There's not much I can do for my country, at my age, but should I fall tomorrow, perhaps news of my incarceration (I will not go quietly), or my death, will join my life with the sacrifices of so many others who have gone before me and will be of some small aid to the tide that is rising nowthat will inevitably sweep these country-destroying monsters into the sewer of history.
The world cannot afford for us to lose this battle.
I wish that everyone in this country would read your reporting. My grandfather in the 1930’s in Germany was one of too few people who used his position in a place of public prominence (as the Chancellor of Bonn University ) to make speeches against the Nazis. We can't yet see the results of Trump's cogitive tests, because we are not in charge of them, but we can pray that someone in that loop leaks them. And my bet is that someone will. The resistance is almost everywhere, hopefully including Walter Reed Hospital.
The cognitive test DJT took is the MOCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment). My doctor has me do a modified version (I'm 80 y.o.) every visit. If someone has trouble with that, then the full MOCA would be given. I doubt very much that DJT "aced" the test without help. LOL
Just because 47 keeps saying he has aced multiple cognitive tests does not, to me, indicate he has ever even taken one. He has also said in 2015 and in 2024, while campaigning, that he had a health care plan which he would reveal ‘in two weeks’, remember?
