This afternoon, just as President Trump was getting ready to leave the White House to begin his journey to China, he stopped on the South Lawn to talk to the press and gave some of the most honest answers of his entire presidency. Standing in front of the cameras, visibly irritated and increasingly combative as reporters continued pressing him with basic questions, his words came out angry and belligerent, telling us exactly what he thinks, not just of the press, but of every American he was elected to serve. He called reporters asking the questions their jobs demand of them “dumb” and “not smart people.” And then, when asked if he cares about Americans’ financial suffering, he replied, without a single pause to consider what he was admitting, saying, “not even a little bit.” That is who Donald Trump is, and what he thinks about his fellow Americans. And Trump didn’t stop there.

He was really crabby because that’s his nature and because he and 2 equally stupid thugs went with him to meet with Si. I cannot imagine any of them capable of negotiating a deal or receiving help. They don’t respect the Middle or Far Eastern cultures. I hope he comes back accomplishing nothing other than embarrassing himself more and getting into deeper trouble. When you think about other millionaires and how they used their wealth to benefit others. Bill Gates, the Rockefellers and others. I came across a quote from Andrew Carnegie the other day: "The man who dies thus rich dies disgraced". Many years ago I worked in Boston for an organisation who sponsored family planning in the developing world. It was founded by one of the Gambles of Proctor and Gamble. George Peabody used his wealth to build flats for low income people, non-profit, established in the 1870s, which is still going strong today.
What will Trump's legacy be? Just a robber baron of the 2000s, that's what.
I get so angry with this "we can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon" narrative. Reporters are absolutely brave to keep asking questions, but I wish someone would bring up the fact that Iran did NOT have a nuclear weapon, could not have had one til 2035, had not had the go-ahead to go forward with a weapon. And that Obama's agreement included inspections!!! I really hate their narrative on this, and I'm fearful that it will take hold. I hope not. But I worry . . .
