Just after 1:00 this afternoon, Donald Trump stood by himself in front of a steel beam with an American flag and a Christmas tree attached to it and delivered his first public remarks following his crushing defeat just the night before. For 21 minutes, he rambled on about his beloved construction projects, seemingly determined to talk about anything other than the humiliating election results that had just handed Democrats control of Congress.
But it was the questions from reporters that finally broke him. When he was asked about impeachment and whether he was worried about it, he responded, “Not even a little bit. It would, I think it would destroy, I think it would destroy the Democrat Party if they did that, because impeachment for no reason. What? For having a successful country? Our country is more successful now than at any time in its history.” The anger then flashed across his face, and he barked at the reporters, “Watch the beam go up,” before turning and walking away.
Finally, I am up late enough to add a comment. Will Congress investigate the tampering with the voting machines that threw the 2024 election to Trump in all swing states? If that can be proven can Trump's presidency be annulled and everything he has done be undone?
Great questions. I can hope. Seriously doubt that will happen. Especially undo all the damage done by DOGE. That will require new laws with new protections for sll of us.
What will become of all the hate and propensity for violence from the far right, which is in essence what the Republican Party has morphed into? Trumpism is dying along with Trump but hatred will always be on the menu.
I guess they will have to express their hate by turning on each other. Judging by the comments of the Felon and his VP, the circular firing squad is beginning to form.

I watched CNN last night for the first time in a while and when I heard James Talarico speaking about the politics of love, I initially felt myself starting to cringe- thinking it was just way corny - but then I realized I’d become so jaded over the past year, I’d forgotten that there is still room for humanity in our government- and that’s actually a good thing!
So to all the new Senators and Representatives, I’d like to say “welcome back humanity- we’ve missed you!”
Yes he’s not done yet…his sleeves are still full of dirty tricks but he’s losing steam.
He’s basically in La La land now playing with the toys he loves the most..his Bob the Builder erector sets.
Let him do it..let him wander around the construction sites like the wide eyed child he is …his mind cannot deal with the present it will continue to stray back to his past…to the days when he did run a construction company and built big buildings.
That’s all he’s capable of remembering now ..he is in the middle phase of the dementia that will eventually consume his entire cognitive brain…hopefully soon.
Now his henchmen will really need to take over but they have their own problems to worry about..to have to continue to try and stay one jump ahead of those who are now poised and ready to pounce on THEM.
There’s the rub…what do they do…continue to try and prop him up and push the agendas they’ve been dedicated to or do they jump ship and try to save their own asses..
Vance has already begun…Johnson has shown his hand..Hegseth can read the writing on the wall. You can bet every single Cabinet member is getting quiet legal advice and they’re not sleeping real well.
Now is the time for the D’s to get their game plan ready..for us to stay as vigilant as before..to be prepared to call them out as soon as they act..to expose them and challenge them and stop them. We have seen what we CAN and DID do and we can keep doing it.
We have a large plate that is totally full but if we take it one bite at a time we’ll get it cleaned up.

I have mentioned before here, I thought my sons were in this MAGA cult with my Ex. They are 37 and 35, I posted videos of my resistance poodle from the dog park, on WhatsApp, with text “Tommy with his FDT vest after the blue wipeout 🐕😂🤣” Within minutes my oldest called from a bar in Colorado, he was unable to speak, other than to say he loved me and wanted to be able to visit me in RI. He handed the phone to a friend I never met, who told me my son was in a distressed state at a bar and I sounded like a loving father. My son did vote, as I asked him to, on the 29th. I found out he is/was in a cult. Be kind and forgiving.

Days I can only face one report it’s yours I read because it keeps me left with hope . I’m nearly 73 and never dreamed the mess we could be in in our beloved country . I’m up here in northern me and often feel like a little blue dot in a sea of red . I have my bright lights tho my people out there that believe and feel the same as I do and your certainly one of them . I can’t bear to watch the main stream news nor listen to Trump so thank you for doing that and then bringing us the truth .
