An hour later, he was still melting down, facing the reality of just how devastating the results of the night really were, when he posted an image of a red hat with one word written across it in bright white capital letters: “VETO.” The president of the United States was desperately trying to remind the country of the power he still holds, after the overwhelming rejection he had just received from the American people.

Well what an incredible victory. A huge battle fought for and won. But now the war begins as Trump and his sycophants fight like rats in a bag to retain power. Democrats, you need now to put aside your differences and fight as one. Thank you Heather and your fellow chroniclers of the past two years, thankyou for speaking truth to power, thank you for never giving up, thank you for your constant hope.
Congratulations to you Heather. That was a marathon of anxiety. What a relief, now the messy bit. Whatever he does to interfere with the swearing in of all the new blood will only go into the subpoenas as evidence.
The whole world can breathe a sigh of relief. Phew.
And yes I know that there is still a battle ahead, as I suspect every dirty trick in the book will be thrown at you until you get finally ,totally rid of this crazy old man but you did it !

Heather I switched on the TV this morning to hear the wonderful news that the Democrats have won! HALLELUJAH! That really made my day. So the Dumpkof will have less power in the next few years (if he actually lasts that long, which I doubt). Your tireless work has paid off. Even Texas has a Democrat for the first time since 1932. Now perhaps the orange Hitler can be impeached. Congratulations from the UK.
