Heather, this is just another example of Trump's pettiness and vindictiveness. To target Mrs Newsom without any justification is disgraceful. Please could someone remove this bladder of lard from the WH before he does any more damage. I live in hope.

Yes Janet, Hope is something that no one can take from us, and we will keep it alive. My favorite President wrote about, "The Audacity of Hope", Barack Obama gave it to us, because he loved America.

TripleNana7's avatar

“I love you, Sir”????? Really? I mean, I would be offended if an Attorney General of the United States said that to Joe Biden, or Bernie Sanders, or Gavin Newsom. But to say it—and mean it—to Donald tRump is almost beyond belief.

I've never said that to anyone I worked for, ever. I may have liked a boss or two, but love you, fuck that, it was a job and I was thankful for that. TB is such an ass kisser it's sickening and it's really sickening because he is supposed to love us, the constitution, and the rule of law.

UK here - another sad day for USA as it crashes even further into the depths of a corrupt society 😢. ‘Silence is more dangerous’, so true. Can it be true that 86 million Americans don’t see a problem as their country collapses into an authoritarian regime. Sadly, we cannot trust America to be part of an acceptable world order going forward .

you are correct. for every One who sees and fights back, there is Another who is too dumb to see the obvious or too stuck in their own mindset to change, or too scared to speak up. still, We stand.

It’s not 1 to 1. There are more of us than there are of them. We have to remember that. Therein lies our power, if only we should choose to use it.

As Heather has pointed out, we need to be vocal. We need to talk so that others know they’re not alone. We need to show a fraction of the courage Heather shows by writing about this dangerous rot every night.

It never ceases to amaze me that reading any of his posts online is such an obvious projection. He may not realize it, but he's speaking to himself, about himself. Every accusation is a confession. And I really think if more people could view his comments that way, they'd realize just how deranged and unhinged he has become.

He leaves a trail of destruction everywhere. And he is so dangerously stupid.

Janet Currie's avatar

Exactly what I thought. I saw a post of him being very abusive towards a politician in Maine (sorry I didn't catch his name). What the Dumpkof said about this politician fitted Trump's personality perfectly.

It is shocking to see what is happening in our county. Criminal gangs are running DOJ and FBI. US Congress and Senate are on take and refused to take any action. I am ashamed of being citizen of such a rogue country run by lawless and criminals.

Let us fight together and change for better. To America yesterday was founded on values that brought us all together to begin with.

Heather, I see passion and pain in your writing. Please share them often, we need hope. Thanks.

We've got tonstop waiting for the next election to make a difference. We've got to be like Albania, protesting the Kushners every single day! We should be protesting Trump and his cabal every day, as well. At least, we would if we really cared.

What is happening and being said, not least is to hide what an unmitigated mess the Iran war was and is

There is no way Iran are going to quietly get back in their box and behave and there is no way Netanyahu is going to take orders from Iran.

What is happening to Trumps political rivals is horrific and the republican senators with any reasonable courage should be pushing back.

In the meantime a joint action in court from those being investigated ( a combined action) should be put in place. I am sure a UK law firm would take it on in a heartbeat.

Corruption is what Trump was screaming about in Venezuela - the heads of state are in custody without trial. What about corruption on an epic scale in the Trump’s administration - the cells are waiting

I am so past tired of Trump and his stupid weaponization of the justice department. I am so tired of his vendettas and acts of retribution. Other than to hear his name when the jail cell doors slam on him after office, I never want to hear his name again. He and his minions are so beyond my comprehension it's unbelievable. It will be interesting to see how he enjoys his wife being investigated like this once the Democrats come into power in the midterms

OK, so Trump is insane, a raving lunatic. Is insanity contagious? Evidently so, at least temporarily, for a few people who think they can profit from it, at least in the short run. But certainly not for a democracy of over 300 million people. What he is attempting—to make the real world like his own insane bubble world—is hopeless. Let us have confidence.

Janet Currie's avatar

Trump's acolytes are behaving just like Hitler's henchmen. Nobody contradicted Adolf, not even when he gave his orders to his Cabinet members without putting them in writing.

Dan Beach's avatar

Hold on. This is a coordinated campaign against Newsom, and California. It will expand to include anyone on his retribution list. Senator Rick Scott, of Florida, is now parroting a "California elections were stolen," claim. There will be more. This is Trump's newest shiny toy, and he'll have it run into the ground with plagiarism and false accusations. Sort of Trump's algae on the American pond.

What happened to IRS audits…that’s the logical path if there are tax questions or issues…certainly NOT a DOJ intervention…investigation.

It is all too clear what this criminal is doing and he most definitely must be called out on it.

Do as Heather suggests..call..email..write all representatives and senators and let your thoughts be known…vociferously.

DO NOT be afraid..whether they like it or not we STILL HAVE FREE SPEECH in this country..they cannot take it away so easily…do not stop protesting…speaking out..fighting back..supporting all who do the same. They are NOT almighty..all powerful..all encompassing..we OUT NUMBER them by millions…there is great strength in those numbers..never stop believing that.

Gavin will not be quiet..he will not be frightened..Trump may just have made one of the biggest mistakes of his miserable crime filled life with this move.

Maybe THIS will be his Waterloo.

I wonder what would happen if all the governors came together and created a visual for all to see the enormity of of people Trump has gone and is going after. A PSA and ran it in prime time. Sometimes people need a visual not just on paper

Could you imagine Gavin N. and Cory Booker? *fans self* Or Gavin and Pete B? 🔥 But I think the absolute bestest would be Gavin and Obama for VP. 🥵❤️❤️

MB Kiefer's avatar

Obama can't be VP. The VP has to be eligible to be president, and Obama isn't. I don't doubt that he'd step up, but I don't think it's fair to ask.

Ame's avatar

Oh my you are so correct! I was so swept up in the fantasy of having intelligent, capable, and well mannered people in charge they I did not think ahead. Sort of the same reason why I don't play chess.

I will have to ponder another name.

MB Kiefer's avatar

My top three (in no particular order) would be Newsom, Kelly, and Buttegieg. We need spine. We need a little "in your face!" We need a LOT of "mad as hell, and not going to take it anymore!" We need no more Mr. Nice Guy.

I cannot believe that with so many respected military Generals in our military that they haven't formed a group to Destroy Him.

Come on Guys

Deeply care

about stopping

MB Kiefer's avatar

I guess the word "destroy" is open to interpretation, so *maybe* you wouldn't be charged with a capital offense. But what you seem to be suggesting would seem to be highly illegal. I don't think I would leave this post up, but that's just me.

The Newsomes need protection so they don’t end up like the Hortmans and their dog who were murdered in their home last June. So many Maganites everywhere with itchy trigger fingers and the promise of a pardon. This is our sad reality but we must NOT stop defending our country and our freedoms. Newsome dares to speak out and challenge so they are the next target. You are so right: attacking the family, the partner, the associates is as low as it gets. But absolutely nothing is too low for this bunch of thugs and even the UFC leader seemingly has a limit, we learned. The algae gunking up the “new and improved” Reflecting Pool, the torn up White House, the fake gold shrines are just for show. This type attack is for real.

This by far is one of the most important , well thought out essays Heather has produced yet .

Please share it on every social network you can .

Our way of life in this country is at stake .

I share your outrage HDR. I, like you, still have faith in the American people. At some point, soon I hope, the wheel turns. Trump and his Epstein class are vulgar outliers.
