What about the Native American people who consider these monuments sacred? These were set aside for protection for the future generations and for the dignity of the Native American people. And these two monuments will be just the beginning unless stopped now!
As I understand the unspoken intent, Ann, trump is just fine with leaving a few “examples” of the Native American culture, and grudgingly acknowledging, in doing so, that these cultures ever existed - and he’s pretty sure they “poisoned the blood” of Americans. Although he does not understand that it’s hundreds of cultures, and that it’s the entirety of all aspects that make up the cultures, and everything that makes the each culture alive, that he’s destroying. I am having difficulty describing what’s in my head. So please excuse my clumsiness in my attempt. The enormity of the destruction is left to much better than me to explain. I would suggest reading Brandi Morin of Substack Indigenous Insider and Angelina Pratt, also on Substack.
You’re most welcome Ann! Both women are amazing, while in very different ways, at teaching in a way that none other than Indigenous, First Nations, and Native Americans can do. Feeling clumsy again - it’s just that they both have a way of imparting knowledge and understanding that couldn’t come from any other base but theirs.
I don’t understand why Trump supporters can’t see the obvious corruption. Every time he dismantles another watchdog he does it so he doesn’t have any consequences.
